00:00 Second is Sam Riott, he'll be number two on the ticket.
00:04 Number three is George Benedica.
00:07 Number four is Eric Khyza.
00:12 And number five is Emma Rush.
00:14 Hi everybody. I just would like to say that after 30 years of living in the LGA
00:20 and 10 years before that near the LGA,
00:23 I thought that I'd want to give back to the local area, local government and democracy in general
00:29 and this looks like a very good way to do that.
00:32 So that's why I've become a councillor, become a candidate to hopefully become a councillor.
00:37 G'day everybody. Look, I'm born and bred in Wagga and I'm proud to be a Greens member
00:45 regardless of who drives past and yells at us.
00:48 That's typical of what we have to put up with but we believe in our grassroots democracy
00:53 and that's why I'm on the ticket to support our league candidates.
00:56 Hi everybody. I'm on the ticket for the Greens for council because Greens have a credible policy
01:04 for the environment and for social justice issues.
01:08 Really the only party with answers for the big picture issues that are affecting everybody.
01:13 And our league candidate Jenny McKinnon has got my full support with the rest of the ticket.
01:20 Thank you.
01:21 My name's Emma Rush and I've been in Wagga for 15 years.
01:25 I love living here. I think this is a fantastic place to live.
01:28 The Greens want to make the future sustainable and fair for everybody as we give growth
01:35 for people who are here now and for the younger generations who are coming up behind us.
01:39 Thank you.
01:40 So Sam's number two and in particular that's because Sam has joined the Greens.
01:47 He's been with us for the last few years. He's brought a lot of energy with him.
01:51 He's brought a lot of care and interest. He's shown such belief in all the Greens' ethics and principles.
01:57 And he's become a very active person in terms of our state delegates, councils
02:02 and our steering committees at the federal level.
02:06 So he wants to do things for this community. He wants to help make this a better place to live.
02:12 And as you heard, he's been living here for more than 30 years.
02:16 So yeah, I was very keen for Sam to be number two on our ticket.
