00:00Yes, I mean, there are many myths and misconceptions about surrounding obesity and overweight.
00:12But I think one of the biggest myths is that it's your own fault that you are fat or overweight
00:17and that obesity and overweight is due to having a bad character and you are lazy.
00:25That if you just tightened up, you would be able to eat less, exercise more, lose weight
00:29easily.
00:31But that is totally wrong.
00:33We know that obesity and morbid obesity are chronic diseases.
00:37And we have now understood that this disease is due to the brain's diet and hunger centres
00:42not being governed in the normal way in patients living with obesity.
00:47How do weight loss treatments like injections work?
00:50And what sets Jaizen apart from other methods?
00:54I mean, there are many new modern drugs, but some of the more modern drugs like semaglutid
01:04and tirosapatid, they are given in once a week in injections, injection pens, and they
01:12are quite easy to give and the patients manage them themselves.
01:19So they take any injections once a week.
01:23Often due to, sometimes you have side effects, gastrointestinal side effects, a little nausea,
01:32a little obstipation, a little heartburn.
01:37So you increase the dose quite slow, actually.
01:43So and then the body adapts to that.
01:47So often the side effects, they disappear after a month or so.
01:53So very, very few people actually stop the medication.
