00:00 So I'm here this evening with the leader of Reform UK party Richard Tice.
00:05 Good evening Richard.
00:06 Good evening.
00:07 Now you've been here this evening to support the candidate for Rutland which is Christopher
00:12 Clowes.
00:13 What do you think he needs to do to turn the votes of the people in this county to Reform
00:20 UK?
00:21 We've got to get out, we've got to spread the message that actually there is hope, that
00:25 Britain's a great nation but it needs reform at every level, the economy, healthcare, immigration,
00:32 law and order, defence, our culture, education, everything needs reform in various areas and
00:38 what Chris has got to do which is what our candidates all over the country are starting
00:43 to do is to get out there, knock on doors, leafleting, hold events.
00:47 Brilliant to be here in Rutland, I know it very well because I went to school here, my
00:51 children went to school here so it sort of feels like home from home, it's a glorious,
00:55 glorious county and as we spread the word so many people feel that they've been let
01:00 down by the Conservatives, they know that Keir Starmer will just carry on what the Tories
01:04 are doing which has been raising taxes, raising wasteful government spending, allowing mass
01:10 immigration that's depressing British wages, reducing the quality of daily lives for everybody
01:17 and won't get a grip of stopping the boats and also won't get a grip of law and order
01:22 so we've got multiple problems in this country but actually with real reform, with proper
01:28 courageous leadership we can turn it around.
01:30 Now I'm actually going to be spending Thursday afternoon with the incumbent MP, Elicit Kearns,
01:35 do you have a message for her?
01:38 Well the reality is that she's part of a Conservative party that have betrayed the British people,
01:43 they've betrayed the message or the promises they made in 2019 to reduce taxes, to get
01:51 the economy growing and most importantly of all they've betrayed us on immigration, they
01:56 said they would bring the numbers to below 200,000 and they've done exactly the opposite,
02:01 deliberately, they've deliberately opened the borders to mass immigration and it's a
02:07 disgrace and for that they have to be held to account and they can't get away with it
02:14 and it's leading to huge extra development, we can't cope, housing, the price of housing
02:21 to buy or to rent is going up, our health is under huge pressure and all of this is
02:28 because of the failures of what the Conservatives did and their betrayal of the promises to
02:34 the British people, so my message to Elicit Kearns and all Tory MPs is you asked us to
02:41 trust you, we trusted you, you let us down and there has to be accountability for that.
02:46 Richard Tyse thank you very much for your time.
