Louise (Karen Gillan), a 28-year-old Brooklynite adrift in life, finds herself suddenly single and grappling with her identity as a musician. While she struggles with her underlying depression, a reckless drunken stumble lands her with a broken hip, and leads to a stint in a physical therapy ward with patients twice her age. Here, she crosses paths with Antonina (Margaret Sophie Stein), a cantankerous elderly Polish woman who speaks no English. Reluctantly, Louise takes on the role of Antonina's caregiver, a situation neither of them welcomes. As they navigate their begrudging relationship, they confront the realities of aging, forcing Louise to consider her own journey into adulthood.

00:00Hello?
00:11I broke my hip?
00:13You're not like other 30-year-olds now.
00:15I'm 28.
00:17This is Antonina. She's a physical therapy bad girl.
00:22Do you think I could go to a solo room? Because she and I are like at vastly different stages of development.
00:27Hey!
00:29Excuse your tone.
00:34Antonina, wait up!
00:36Is there someone that we should tell that you're streetwalking or streetwalkering?
00:39Hey.
00:40She's staying here for the night.
00:42Your grandma?
00:43No.
00:44I wasn't going to leave her on the street.
00:46You're going to give her back?
00:47She's not a puppy.
00:48You know she would have been safe if you did nothing?
00:50Well, I did something and she was safe too.
00:52I'm sorry, I was just trying to take care of her.
00:54Do you have a job?
00:55Oh, um, please. I'm desperate.
00:58Okay, yeah.
01:00Totally.
01:01This is going to be fun!
01:04Dad? You got a job?
01:06A job is great, Louise.
01:08I can't get her to wear them, but you must, for sure.
01:11Hey, I got it.
01:12Does she ever like hurt anyone with that?
01:18Is that a picture of you?
01:23I have never inspired anyone.
01:24I don't think that, Louise.
01:29I'm so sorry.
01:30I don't know why I did that.
01:31Okay.
01:34Last time I was home.
01:35I'd rather not.
01:36Let in the good memories.
01:39Or make some new ones.
01:44This is a moment! This is a breakthrough!
01:49You can say whatever you want to me, and I can say whatever I want to you,
01:52because that is the beauty of our relationship.
01:56You are a diaper person.
01:57Nothing to be ashamed of!
01:58Now these are cool.
02:05This is my boyfriend, Ray.
