Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim held a bilateral meeting with Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to discuss further strengthening cooperation between Malaysia and Kazakhstan after his arrival in Astana on Thursday (May 16).

00:10 of his official visit to Central Asia.
00:13 Anwar will be in the country for two days to further strengthen the relationship between
00:16 Malaysia and Kazakhstan.
00:18 The bilateral cooperation with Kazakhstan, which was first forged in March 1992, covers
00:24 trade, investment, higher education, tourism and halal industry.
00:30 Anwar visited the Astana Grand Mosque for his first program of the day.
00:39 During the 20-minute visit, Anwar joined the congregation in prayers and was briefed on
00:44 the construction of the mosque, which can accommodate some 235,000 worshippers.
00:56 After a welcoming ceremony at the President's Palace, Anwar held a bilateral meeting with
01:00 Kazakhstan's President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, followed by a dinner banquet hosted by Tokayev.
01:07 Anwar will also deliver a keynote address at a roundtable session on trade and investment
