Leeds locals reflect on cycling and cycle lanes in the city.
Transcript
00:00 I used to cycle five miles on a morning, five miles on a whenever I finished my shift.
00:05 I've had a few hairy moments but since they've started doing all these cycle lanes,
00:11 which I think is great, I think Leeds itself has become a lot safer.
00:16 I found the one in Stanningley, I don't know if you know what I mean, it goes right through to
00:20 Leeds. I just find that a bit of a, I just think it's all against motorists and I'm a motorist so
00:26 I hardly ever saw anybody on it. Usually if I'm honest come down the back tracks through the park
00:32 and that and then pick up a cycle lane into Leeds. If only there was, I wasn't digging up half the
00:38 roads as you come around which is a bit of an issue. I wouldn't cycle around here, the traffic,
00:43 everything else, the people around, the town is always busy, I wouldn't, I wouldn't go there but
00:49 some side roads, yeah, any time. You know if you see, I see just a road for a bike just there but
00:57 you know you see bike here, I think it's not safe because so many people.
