00:00 The festival of the rights of persons with disabilities has launched in Croatia.
00:07 Here at the Peskinika Cultural Center in Zagreb, the three-day event includes exhibitions, films and workshops to promote solidarity and social inclusion for people with disabilities.
00:18 The objective is to raise awareness of the challenges faced by those with disabilities on a daily basis.
00:24 It shows all the good things that people with disabilities create in our society.
00:30 I have the impression that people with disabilities often look at how they do not have some rights, how they go to the crossroads, how they really fight for their rights.
00:38 I have no impression that it is so much about what they contribute to our society, what they can actually do.
00:51 We want to show, here is mine, that everything is possible.
00:56 Even when you can't do it, we have artists with various kinds of abilities, they have everything.
01:07 And what they have done and what they do is very, very beautiful and fascinating.
01:17 In 2022, 101 million people or one in four adults had some form of disability in the European Union, according to Eurostat.
