Some of the first official figures from police forces across Wales show that over 2000 people have been caught breaking the 20 miles per hour speed limit in Wales. Fines have only been issues for the last few months, so we take a look at what this means for drivers around the country.

00:10And for the last few months it's been catching people out, as, since January, drivers have
00:14been fined for breaking the speed limit.
00:18Since the start of the year over 2,100 drivers have been issued with fines, with over 1,000
00:24in April alone.
00:25There has been a drastic increase from March, which saw roughly half of the number of fines
00:30issued, partly because North Wales has only recently started issuing those fines.
00:37In April, one driver was caught speeding at over 70mph in a 20mph zone.
00:44Transport Secretary Ken Skates has said that a number of roads will revert to 30mph after
00:49the massive backlash, and we will see a more considered approach, as the Welsh Government
00:53say they want to listen to the public on future speed limit decision making.
