The Senedd is officially 25 years old, and throughout its time has been marred with controversy. A slim majority to be established in the first place and since has never had an election of over 50%. We ask the people of Cardiff whether more needs to be done to engage Welsh people in Senedd activities or whether the Senedd really deserves a place in modern Wales.

00:00 I voted for it because I thought I believed it when they said bringing
00:07 democracy closer to home. I regretted it ever since. Extra layer of second-rate
00:14 politicians, small-minded. I've not got a good word for the Senate unfortunately.
00:22 There we are. Why not? England gets way too much control. We need a
00:27 chance to show that we're a great country, we're a great government and it's
00:31 just our time to shine now. I keep up to date with a lot of politics but the
00:36 Senate is not one. I don't feel like there's a lot going on in the media for
00:40 me to know about with it. This is the point that I'm trying to make. The
00:47 government came to haunt us down a little bit, well not a little, a lot. I think when
00:55 things don't have the fairness that Scotland, Ireland, we are still
01:05 considered as that little dot on the map. Lots of people didn't think so,
01:12 they only just got voted in and now looking back on it, it's a talking shop.
01:17 I can't see what they're really doing for Wales.
01:23 From here obviously, it's our country.
01:29 Would you like to see that continue?
01:31 Of course, I love my country, I love my Welsh, born and bred.
01:36 Have you ever voted in a Senate election?
01:39 No, I haven't really.
01:41 I'm not going to lie, I find it all very boring the way it's portrayed to us.
01:49 So for me personally, without sugar coats in there, I'm just like 'ugh'.
01:55 I think they could jazz it up a little bit.
