00:00 I'm here today to celebrate the launch of my latest book 'When War Came to Launch Cottage'
00:04 which is set in the 1940s. We decided to do a launch but also to try and raise money for
00:09 Great Oaks Hospice which obviously is very important to our community and it's nice to
00:13 see that the community have come together donating lots of lovely things for our event today
00:17 so hopefully we will raise lots of money for them. It's set in the countryside but not specifically
00:22 locally to here so it's a story of intrigue, drama, love and injustice. We've got a lady called
00:31 Sybil Cooper who's a young woman who escapes the bombs in the city where she's from and comes to
00:36 live with her auntie Vi in the countryside. Obviously her family thinks she's going to have
00:40 a much safer, quieter life but it doesn't quite work out to plan so it's probably a bit more
00:45 dangerous than where she's come from.
