The aromas you mostly associate with Sunderland's past
Transcript
00:00 The sweet smell of Sunderland.
00:03 Doesn't it just bring back memories?
00:06 It certainly did for one Echo follower, who told us about all the aromas she associated
00:12 with the town over the years.
00:15 Our first stop is Binns, where the smell of freshly baked bread was always a pull first
00:20 thing in the day.
00:22 Bread buns anyone?
00:24 Or how about some freshly filtered coffee, using the special filters that Binns had?
00:31 Staying in the same store, the perfumes section had a wonderful aroma from the scents and
00:37 the face powders.
00:39 Next it's on to a walk around the town centre, with the hops from Vorks filling the air.
00:46 Why was it strongest near Hills Bookshop?
00:49 Lastly, Jackie White's Market with it's friendly and familiar mix of scents, including fresh
00:56 fruit, meat and fish.
00:59 We are sure there's other aromas you remember from Sunderland's past.
