00:00 What message would you all like to send Abby Lee, if anything at all?
00:05 I mean, I still don't know.
00:07 You still don't talk to her?
00:09 I think that everybody's experience with her is very different.
00:12 I know for me, I would not be sitting in this chair, I would not have the career I have if it wasn't for Abby.
00:18 She really rooted for me and got me to where I'm at, so I will always thank her and be grateful.
00:26 Do I agree with everything she's done to me, my family, my friends?
00:30 Absolutely not.
00:32 I've told her that before to her face.
00:34 I don't agree with half the things you've done, and I think everybody deserves an apology.
00:39 But I'm able to move on and move past it and take the good from the bad.
00:46 And realize that I wouldn't be sitting in this chair and wouldn't have met all my friends.
00:51 I wouldn't have these relationships.
00:53 You'd have a very different life.
00:55 You just have to be grateful for what it is.
00:58 Kendall, JoJo, are you in touch with her still?
01:01 I would say, "How's your Thursday going?"
01:04 I am, especially with Karma coming out.
01:06 She's been very supportive, very talkative with me, very proud of you.
01:11 I feel like when I left the show, there was a year that we didn't really talk.
01:15 But then after that, we're chillin'.
01:18 Kendall?
01:19 I would just say thank you for giving me the thick skin that I have today.
01:23 She has made me such a tough person without even knowing it, with all of her criticism.
01:28 And I can handle any situation now.
01:31 I can handle the haters on Instagram, and I can handle getting turned away from a job.
01:36 Because I can now carry myself and just move on and not dwell on it.
01:40 Because you had the ultimate hater for a period.
01:42 We all had the ultimate hater.
01:44 Oh my goodness.
01:45 Bad or otherwise.
01:46 So the thick skin, definitely.
01:48 Was there an adjustment period for y'all after the cameras went off, after the original series came to an end?
01:53 Where you were like, "What do I do with my life now?"
01:56 100%.
01:57 Yeah.
01:58 It was so intense.
01:59 When I left, I was like, "How do I function?"
02:02 We were so busy all the time.
02:04 I was like, "Oh my gosh, I don't want to do anything."
02:06 I was just going to regular football games.
02:08 I actually ended up doing volleyball, but I was so focused on just being a regular kid.
02:12 Stuff that we missed out on because we were so focused on dance.
02:16 Yeah.
02:17 Get to live your life as a kid.
02:18 Yes.
02:19 Y'all seem so close to your mothers still.
02:22 Oh yeah.
02:23 Do you think Dance Moms brought you closer together?
02:26 It actually was just the legit amount of physical time that we spent with our mom.
02:31 My mom and I, we lived in LA.
02:33 We lived in a one bedroom apartment when we were filming Dance Moms.
02:36 We slept in the same bed for four years.
02:39 And just the car rides together.
02:41 They didn't get to see their husbands.
02:42 We didn't get to see our dads, our siblings.
02:44 Siblings.
02:45 All we did was spend time with our parents.
02:47 And we only had each other.
02:48 Wow.
02:49 Yeah.
02:50 That's the one person, I mean we could all count on each other, but blood, that's the
02:53 person you count on through this whole experience.
02:56 So I do think that I would have always been close with my mom whether I was on the show
03:00 or not.
03:01 Right.
03:02 But going through something like that.
03:03 You have a bond.
03:04 You have a bond.
03:05 It's like the same with us.
03:06 We are all so close and we have a bond together that nobody could break or understand unless
03:11 you're a part of it.
03:13 And it's the same thing with our moms.
03:14 I think that when you go through something like that and you watch your mom constantly
03:18 fight for you, you know, you're grateful.
03:20 But then also you're like going through puberty and you're like an annoying teenager.
03:23 So many feelings.
03:26 Yeah.
03:27 Like any normal teenager though.
03:28 Yeah.
03:29 We were definitely all, I'm sure we were all very rollercoaster.
03:31 Very rollercoaster-y with our moms.
03:32 Who isn't?
03:33 All of us.
03:34 Especially a crazy dance mom.
03:35 Don't mess with a crazy dance mom.
03:37 We all have a little bit of it.
03:40 Yeah.
03:41 We all have a little bit of it.
03:42 Yeah.
03:43 We all have a little bit of it.
03:43 (whooshing)
