00:00 The town of Solsona in Ilocos Norte is now ranked among the 100 places in the country that were put under the state of calamity due to the effect of El Niño.

00:21 The people of Solsona in Ilocos Norte are now facing problems with water supply during the hot season.
00:30 There is no water in the rivers. The balloons are also drying up.
00:38 This is one of the problems with water supply in the town of Solsona in Ilocos Norte due to El Niño.
00:45 That is why it is now under the state of calamity. The town is ranked 15th out of 22 barangays or more than 60 percent of the affected by dry spill.
00:54 To help the residents, the Bureau of Fire Protection has a daily schedule in water supply.
01:00 This is part of our job as firefighters, especially now that it is El Niño. We go to different barangays to supply water to our fellowmen.
01:17 The residents of Mariket barangay are in line. Their baldet drums are beating in the middle of the hot weather.
01:23 They say that water from the ration is a big help to have something to use in the daily needs of the people.
01:30 It is a big help because if they don't have water supply like this, and there is no irrigation, and other things, there is nothing.
01:41 The situation in Solsona is very difficult because even we are affected, we cannot get water. We are in the irrigation and we are refilling water.
01:58 In the whole country, more than 100 places have been submerged in the state of calamity due to the effects of El Niño.
