This winners of the inaugural Primary School of the Year award were Findochty Primary School which has a current role of 58 pupils and 20 preschool children attend the nursery.

00:09 I think everybody's going to be immensely proud. I'm proud of all the pupils, of the
00:14 community, and I think it's just going to be a huge hit tomorrow at assembly. So yeah,
00:19 really, really proud.
00:21 What does this mean for the school?
00:24 I think it acknowledges everything that they do. We may be a small school but they do
00:29 pack a big punch. They're very caring, they think about everyone in their community and
00:33 they want to do the best for everyone. So I think it's just validating their efforts.
00:37 Especially the teachers as well?
00:39 The teachers as well, but we do it for the children as well. It's a team, it's a family,
00:44 so it's everybody's efforts and it's everybody's award. And that'll be shared tomorrow at assembly.
