00:03 As the sports world shelters in place trying to avoid the spreading coronavirus, there's
00:08 a handful of Canadian basketball prospects whose future still remains unclear.
00:13 The most notable of these is Vanier's Kareem Mané.
00:16 He's a 6-foot foreguard and he's one of the most highly touted prospects ever to come
00:21 out of Quebec.
00:22 Mané was supposed to be in the process of finalizing his decision for college next season
00:27 when the virus hit North America and everything shut down last month.
00:31 I wanted to take my visits and then make a decision after taking my visits but unfortunately
00:36 I can't do that right now.
00:38 Everything has been like pushbacks in terms of my recruitment and everything.
00:43 Mané remains steadfast in his desire to get on campus before committing, though he understands
00:48 that might not be possible.
00:49 I mean what's important for me and my family is just to take a visit, visit the school
00:53 and get to see the facilities and the person and everything before making a decision.
00:57 So we kind of settled on that right now but eventually if the situation forces us to make
01:04 a decision before, without visiting and everything then we'll probably have to talk to my parents
01:11 about it again and sit down and just go through it once more.
01:16 Though his patience could force some programs to recruit over them, Mané says he's not
01:20 concerned.
01:21 They respect my decision, they put this off in my shoes and they respect my timeline and
01:25 everything.
01:26 With everything still up in the air, Mané says he can't say for sure when he's planning
01:30 on committing.
