Patrick Beverley says NBA is excited to 'be a pioneer in today's change'

00:00The NBA is going to use their arenas for voting centers, and Patrick Beverly couldn't be prouder.

00:08One of the big things that came out of this giant meeting that players and owners and

00:13coaches, specifically Doc Rivers, all came out together is the fact that not only are

00:18they going to continue basketball again, but just the fact that they're going to switch

00:21arenas into voting places to vote.

00:24Patrick Beverly said, we're excited to stay here, we're excited to be here, and we're

00:28excited to not only compete, but to be a pioneer in today's change within the world.

00:35And the idea that the NBA has been such a pioneer in this change is so interesting to

00:41think about, because if there's only one good thing to come out of 2020, which there really

00:46isn't many, it's the fact that the NBA has been at the catalyst and the focal point of

00:51so much that's good within the country.

00:55When the country shut down, when sports shut down, that was the NBA at the center of that.

01:00Now when it comes to voting, it's going to be the NBA again to be at the center of that.

01:04I think that's something that players, especially this generation, can be proud of as their

01:08legacy moves forward.
