00:00 Kendrick, that ankle sprain looked like it was a pretty tough one. What did it take for you over the last few days to get yourself right and ready? What did you do?
00:15 I took care of my body. I stayed back and rehabbed every day. I went to the park, I went to the staff. I did a great job.
00:29 Really put me through some good workouts. Not rushing my call. I did a great job so I'm very appreciative of that.
00:43 Both Mark and Josh called you a monster tonight. What's it like being a monster out there?
00:49 Feels good man. Feels good. I appreciate all the time. You know, just teammates and your coaches and I kind of faith and trust in you. Just give you that much confidence.
01:08 You were in the right spot so many times and get six combined blocks and steals. Most of those coming on the weak side. What are you paying attention to? What are you trying to focus on when you're at the box there?
01:23 Just playing team defense. Like you said, just kind of being in the right spot at the right time. Anticipating a lot. And just studying the game. That's what comes down to.
01:39 I watch a lot of basketball. I play a lot of basketball. I'm a big guy since. Pretty much just trusting the defense game plan.
01:54 It seemed like the defense really ramped up there in the third quarter and then obviously the fourth quarter it was a little bit more offensive. What was that in that third quarter that locked in for you guys to kind of put the clamps on defensively?
02:07 I think Bays got us going a couple big blocks in the third, fourth, and it kind of sparked us a little bit. It was that boost that we needed. We just followed that energy.
02:23 You know, when one guy is different like that, it's contagious.
02:28 What does it say about the poise and maturity? That's just something that Mark keeps preaching at, especially in these comebacks. The poise and maturity to just stay in it and mount a comeback like that.
02:40 It's being resilient. Sticking to the game plan, like I said. Offensive and defensive game plan. Trusting one another. And just not getting down. Our first half, they hit some tough shots. I think they shot 15-3.
03:00 It's tough to do the whole game. So we just stay with it. Stay down and just trust one another.
03:06 Can you see Lou work to get to a point where he's become a consistent three-point shooter for you guys?
03:13 He works hard. He works so hard during the summertime. I would come in the gym late at night and he'd be in there going out and shooting.
03:23 It's good to see all the hard work paying off for him. He puts the work in and it's going to show.
03:37 He attempted 15-3 for us tonight. Last game he played he attempted 16. What does that do for the offense when he gets in there and just attacks?
03:46 It draws a lot of defense. He's going to draw a lot of guys to him once he gets in the paint. He stays aggressive like that.
03:56 He's in the line. He opens up the floor for not only him but other guys. He's playing off shade.
04:11 Can you feel the game, the momentum changing as you come in? As I watch the game I can see the energy and the momentum shift when you come into the game.
04:29 Do you feel that as well when you're on the court?
04:32 Yeah, I do. That's something I take pride in. I'm picking my teammates up when we need that support.
04:42 I'm going out there and playing super hard. I think once you do that, not only me but anybody else on the team does it as well. It's contagious.
05:04 Last question, Michael Shapiro.
05:08 You and Josh seem to be having some real growing chemistry. What makes him an enjoyable guy to play with here?
05:15 He's unselfish. He can really catch the ball very well. He's not one of those guys that's scared to throw crazy passes. He trusts teammates. It's a joy to play with him and it's a joy to see him grow as a player. I'm happy to be here alongside Josh and trust him.
05:42 Thank you.
