00:00Megan Thee Stallion's former cameraman has filed a lawsuit against the rapper,
00:04alleging harassment and other workplace-related claims.
00:08Emilio Garcia worked as a cameraman for the rapper from 2018 to 2023.
00:13He filed a complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday,
00:16which also includes allegations of unpaid wages, fat shaming and wrongful termination.
00:21Garcia alleges that Stallion had sex in a moving car that Garcia could not get out of
00:25while on tour in Spain in June of 2022. The claim notes that Garcia was embarrassed,
00:30mortified and offended throughout the whole ordeal.
00:33The day after the event, the suit continues, Stallion asked whether Garcia had been in the car
00:37and when he confirmed he was, she allegedly told him, don't ever discuss what you saw.
00:42On the same trip, Garcia also claims that the rap star chastised Garcia for being
00:46fat and eating too much, calling him a fat bitch and telling him spit your food out.
00:50The suit also alleges that Garcia was wrongfully compensated as an independent contractor,
00:55which allegedly deprived him of health care and overtime pay.
00:58He also claims he was routinely denied breaks for rest or meals.
01:02Stallion's attorney, Alex Spiro, meanwhile, tells THR this is an employment claim for money,
01:07with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her.
01:13We will deal with this in court.
01:14Ron Zambrano, representing the plaintiff, issued a statement in response, which reads in part,
01:19Unfortunately, it is not a surprise that the defendant, through her attorney,
01:22is denying the allegations.
01:23It is an utter lie that we have not alleged a hostile work environment based on the sex claim.
01:28It is literally the first claim listed in the lawsuit.
01:31None of this is intended to embarrass her, but merely an attempt to hold her
01:34accountable for her illegal actions, just as anyone else should be, celebrity or not.
