00:00I had to fight to sit in this dress.
00:02Maluma had to help me sit down in my seat.
00:04So thank you, Maluma.
00:06Hi, Harper's Bazaar, this is Inaki Ai,
00:08and today I'll be looking back
00:09at my favorite fashion moments.
00:11And this is Fashion Flashback.
00:15Let's get started.
00:17The first look, this is the 2021 Met Gala.
00:20The original dress was supposed to be
00:22a turtleneck, long-sleeve, high-low dress
00:26that was quite loose.
00:27Fernando wanted it to look like I got on the carpet
00:30and kind of ripped my dress and just went straight.
00:33But I was really inspired by Josephine Baker
00:37and the flappers era.
00:39So I went back to the atelier
00:43and I told them to cut the sleeves,
00:45cut the turtleneck, make it a low V cut,
00:48put a corset in, put a slit in, and add the shawl.
00:52The jewelry and the beading work is so intricate
00:54that when you're doing that many changes,
00:57it takes a lot of time.
00:58And I think we did it like a week before.
01:02The look came together and it turned out amazing.
01:06Next photo.
01:07This is the dress that I wore for the 2021 Matrix premiere.
01:12And I was wearing Juara Lane's dress.
01:15I was just obsessed with the color.
01:17It was like a little corny.
01:18I wanted to do like a red pill, blue pill and stuff.
01:21I was just obsessed with the draping of the dress
01:23and the two knots on the side.
01:25I thought it was really cool.
01:26I really wanted to show my legs.
01:29So when I saw the slit on this skirt,
01:31I was obsessed with it.
01:32I just thought the dress was so beautiful.
01:33And the color of the red is so deep and dark and beautiful.
01:36I actually got ready in a bus.
01:41So I kind of have a little bad habit
01:43of being late sometimes.
01:45I missed my car.
01:47So I had to take the bus.
01:48I finished my hair and makeup and my shoes
01:50and the jewelry on the bus.
01:52And it was really stressful, but it turned out good.
01:55But I mean, that's fashion, you know?
01:58Next photo.
02:00So this is the 2022 Met Gala.
02:02I went with Michael Kors.
02:04He gave us three options.
02:05It was a really like slick red look
02:08and then a golden look and this one.
02:11And I just thought that I wear dark and neutral colors
02:15so much that I thought that wearing pink would pop.
02:18I actually never went to my prom
02:21because I couldn't afford to go.
02:23So I kind of envisioned myself as this being my prom.
02:28We put the leather gloves on right before I walked out
02:32because we just wanted something to like add
02:36slick look to it to make it like unexpected.
02:39And then I also wanted the makeup to look
02:41not too glamorous to the point where I looked
02:43like I was entering a ball.
02:45I wanted to still look like really high fashion.
02:47So I decided to put highlighter on my cheeks,
02:51my eyebrows, on my forehead,
02:53my collarbones and my shoulders.
02:55We had it to match the dress
02:57and I think it turned out amazing.
02:59So every time I go to the Met,
03:00I feel like you should be showing a piece of art
03:02and I feel like you should go all out every time.
03:05When we walked in, the train was so long
03:08that like people were like struggling to get to the door
03:10because my train was taking up everything
03:12but you got to take up space sometimes.
03:15And the next look.
03:17This is my 2022 Met Gala after party look.
03:23I wanted something quite sexy and kind of like
03:27on the fence of like doing too much
03:29but almost like pulling back.
03:31And when he made this corset,
03:33I think the waist was like 19 inches
03:37and I could not breathe.
03:39I remember when I walked in,
03:40everybody was just like, what the fuck?
03:42Because my waist looks so tiny.
03:44Everybody was gagging and so was I.
03:47So on the sleeves, the black lace is actually a bra
03:51that I wore getting ready for the day of the Met.
03:54And last minute, I decided to leave it on
03:56because I liked the detail of it draping on the side.
03:59We actually cut my bra in the back in half
04:02and then sewed it into the corset.
04:04I don't like it to look like it's too try hard.
04:09I just want it to look like I ran into my wardrobe,
04:12threw it on and went.
04:14So this is a look that I wore for the W Magazine party
04:18on October, 2022.
04:20It's a Ferragamo look and I just thought it was so fire.
04:23The inspiration that I had for this is actually Mick Jagger.
04:26I was watching like random videos of Mick Jagger
04:29and I just thought he looked so cool.
04:31So I called my stylist.
04:32I was like, I want to look like him for one of the looks.
04:34Whenever I wear suits,
04:36I feel like sometimes it could look too formal.
04:40I want it to still look young and edgy and cool.
04:42So I always opt to wearing nothing underneath.
04:46Just wear nothing but diamonds, girl.
04:49It turned out fire.
04:50So this is the next look.
04:52My CFDA look that I wore in 2022
04:56and it's a vintage Gucci by Tom Ford.
04:59When I saw this dress in the fitting, I was so obsessed.
05:04I fell in love with it right away.
05:05And it actually reminded me
05:08of one of my favorite supermodels, Amman.
05:11In my head, I just saw like Amman walking down the runway
05:16and I was just like, I want to embody her.
05:19So this straps right here,
05:21they're actually kind of like rolling into each other.
05:23And I really liked that casual look
05:26with a really tight gown.
05:28And it was so form-fitting
05:30and I felt like it looked like a statue.
05:33I think this dress just completely embodied that.
05:35This is one of my favorite looks, I have to say.
05:37Next look is the last Met Gala that I went to for 2023.
05:43And I went with Prabal Gurung.
05:45When we were deciding this look,
05:47we were inspired by one of Karl Lagerfeld's show
05:50that he did, I think it was Cindy Crawford wearing the look.
05:53And we wanted to look like a cocktail dress
05:57where you could wear it on a carpet
05:58and look more than just a cocktail dress.
06:01So that's why we added the draping on the bottom.
06:04I really liked the gradient of the beads,
06:07like slowly diminishing the lower the dress went.
06:10I always saw veils in all of Karl's shows
06:15and I was obsessed with it.
06:16It was going to be either a headpiece
06:17or the veil that we went with.
06:19I wanted to melt into my skin
06:21and I wanted it to match with the dress.
06:23Yeah, this look was amazing.
06:26Were you able to sit in this?
06:27Oh, I had to fight to sit in this dress.
06:30Maluma had to help me sit down in my seat.
06:33So thank you, Maluma.
06:35Thanks, photo.
06:36This was the dress that I wore
06:38for the 2023 Fashion Awards.
06:40I'm wearing Ferragamo.
06:43I told Max that I just wanted him to just create a look
06:46and I'll wear whatever he's thinking
06:48because his taste and his ideas is so,
06:51it's so different from what I've usually seen
06:54and I find him so inspiring.
06:56So when I put it on the first time,
06:57it was so form-fitting.
06:59I thought it was amazing.
07:01And I really liked how the metal beads
07:03were the tone of my skin.
07:05I like all my accessories to look a little strange.
07:08I don't like stuff to look very clear-cut.
07:12So when I saw the belt being diagonally falling,
07:16I thought it was amazing.
07:17And then also,
07:20I really like when my nipples are an accessory.
07:24So, yeah.
07:29Next photo.
07:30This is the Alaia look that I wore
07:33at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar party.
07:36When I saw it in my room,
07:38I was just like, this is the dress that I have to go with.
07:41I really liked the way one side of my body was out.
07:44And then I liked how transparent the other side was.
07:48And the juxtaposition was amazing.
07:50And the color of the purple was so beautiful.
07:52I felt like a queen when I wore this dress.
07:54I actually practiced this pose in my hotel
07:57because I wanted the details of the dress to really show.
08:00So I literally held that pose for the entire time.
08:03I think the photographers got annoyed
08:04because they kept telling me to change my pose,
08:05and I refused.
08:07Would I wear it again?
08:08I would wear all these looks again.
08:09So hit me up.
08:11You guys have my address.
08:13And send me the clothes.
08:14Thank you.
08:16Thank you so much for watching.
08:18I hope you loved it,
08:18and I hope you love my cover too.
08:20Thank you, Harper's.
