00:00If there's one good thing happening in regards to college football right now, it's that the
00:08players are starting to ask for something they should have had a long time ago, a seat
00:12at the table, because the current circumstances only highlight how screwed up the system is.
00:18College sports returning was always harder to justify than the pros, because with revenue
00:22being the reason, and the participants seeing none of it, it would only further focus on
00:27the farce that is the concept of student-athletes, when really we're talking about de facto
00:32unpaid employees.
00:34And now with the college football season on the verge of being canceled, the players are
00:38the ones being shortchanged yet again, as despite the flaws in structure, it seems apparent
00:43most of them want to play, as Trevor Lawrence and others are asking to do just that, complete
00:48with a list of protocols they want met to make it happen.
00:51Which again brings up another thing missing in NCAA athletics, uniformity, hence essentially
00:56what looks like the formation of a union, or at least a unified voice.
01:00Hopefully that means regardless of what happens with the upcoming college football season,
01:05whenever it returns it won't look the same.
01:07As it is well past time, the most important people are involved in every aspect of the
01:11process.
01:12The players say we want to play, well I want them to at least have a say, not just now,
01:18but more importantly, going forward.
