00:39 I don't know if he's their best fit, but I think really for both sides it may end up
00:43 being what ends up happening just because there's so little market for Baker Mayfield
00:48 right now.
00:49 There's not a lot of teams in the NFL that need a quarterback or that are in dire need
00:52 of one.
00:53 And for Carolina, the options are running thin.
00:56 They have made it a point that they're going to add to this quarterback room, whether it
01:00 be through the draft, trade, free agency.
01:03 And all the top options in trade and free agency are now off the board.
01:06 So it's going to come down to either guys like Baker Mayfield and Jimmy Garoppolo, or
01:10 they're going to take someone at number six in the draft.
01:12 So it makes sense.
01:14 About a month ago, I was told that the Panthers were not expected to be entertained in Baker
01:19 Mayfield trade talks.
01:20 Now I think that kind of shifted a little bit just due to the circumstances.
01:25 I think they are open to just about anything at this point.
01:28 The NFL draft is just one week away.
01:30 Do you think that they make a move before that?
01:33 I don't.
01:34 I think they're going to stay in Pat.
01:35 And if anything, it may be like Cam Newton may come back as a free agent.
01:39 But again, that's still something I think would happen after the draft.
01:42 It seems like there's a pretty clear vision that they know the guys that they want in
01:47 the draft.
01:48 If the ball, if the board follows the way they want it, they can take the guy that they like
01:51 at six or potentially trade back.
01:53 Remember, they don't have a second or third round pick.
01:55 So they would like to recoup those if they can.
01:58 So I don't know.
01:59 I don't think that they're going to see I don't think they're gonna make any moves before
02:01 the draft.
02:02 If they don't get their guy there, then I think we're gonna see trade talks ramp up
02:06 quite quickly between Carolina and Cleveland.
