What are Albert Breer's five biggest takeaways from Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp?
Transcript
00:00All right, we're here with the 20th team that I visited on my training camp tour, the Tampa
00:12Bay Buccaneers.
00:13We've got five takeaways.
00:14Takeaway number one, Keem Hicks looks like he's ready for a monster 2022.
00:18Things went sideways the last couple of years with the Bears.
00:20He had injuries, but if the Bucs can keep him healthy, training camp is any indication.
00:25Looks like he may be an upgrade at the three technique over in Dominican Sioux.
00:28Takeaway number two, another older guy, Julio Jones, he's had a really nice summer.
00:32They've had to manage him through camp.
00:34That's just part of the deal with Julio now.
00:36He's practiced two days on, one day off, but when he's been out there, he's looked smooth.
00:40He's playing fast.
00:41He's built a good rapport with Tom Brady.
00:43Takeaway number three, speaking of building a good rapport with Tom Brady, rookie Rasheed
00:47White has done that.
00:48If you look at Brady's history in New England, he always had a back who could really do things
00:53out of the backfield as a receiver.
00:55From Kevin Falk to Danny Woodhead, to Shane Vereen, to Dion Lewis, to James White.
01:00It looks like White could be that guy for him here in Tampa.
01:03Maybe the best receiver out of the backfield that he's had as a Buccaneer.
01:07Takeaway number four, the tight end position is an under the radar thing to watch.
01:11The Buccaneers are older at that position.
01:13Robert Onkowski is gone.
01:14OJ Howard is gone.
01:16Cam Bray is 31.
01:17Kyle Rudolph is 32.
01:19So the Bucs are working to bring along a couple of young draft picks in Cade Otten and Cokie.
01:23Those two names could be worth watching later in the year.
01:26And finally, takeaway number five, the big trouble spot here is, of course, the interior
01:29of the offensive line.
01:31Ryan Jensen's down, Aaron Stinney's gone for the year.
01:34They know Shaq Mason's going to be the right guard, but for those other two spots, left
01:37guard and center, they've got three guys competing.
01:39Luke Gadecky, Robert Hainsey, and Nick Leverett.
01:42The smart money says Gadecky starts at left guard and Hainsey starts at center in week
01:47one in Dallas.
01:49Regardless of who's there, how that all plays out could be a big factor in how the Bucs
01:53season goes.
01:54Reporting from Buccaneers Camp, I'm Albert Breer.
