La pièce interdite du Mont Rushmore ! ️

00:00 Why is there a secret room behind the Mont Rochemort that no one is allowed to visit?
00:03 The Mont Rochemort was designed and painted by Goodson Borglum between 1927 and 1941.
00:08 This work represents four of the most famous presidents of the United States carved in the rock of the Black Hills in Keystone in the South Dakota.
00:14 The Mont Rochemort was losing interest.
00:15 Goodson therefore planned to add a room behind the faces of the presidents called "All of Records"
00:19 which would contain busts of famous Americans, a list of contributions from the United States to science, art and industry,
00:25 replicas of the country's constitution and other important documents printed on aluminum plates.
00:29 The construction of the room began in July 1938, but the US government did not share the information.
00:35 Unfortunately, Borglum died in 1941 before completing the "All of Records".
00:39 The works were abandoned and the sculpture was declared completed the same year.
00:42 More than 50 years later, in 1998, his dream was finally realized when a depot was built inside the cave
00:48 housing about 16 panels containing biographical and historical information on the Mont Rochemort
00:53 as well as the texts of the documents that Borglum wanted to preserve.
00:55 Unfortunately, the room is closed to the public.
00:57 It serves as a storage place for documents to ensure that the history of the monument is not lost for people thousands of years in the future.
