00:00 Yeah, very excited. First win as a senior coach. So we're underway. It was very exciting.
00:06 Stressful day but we got there.
00:08 It was. I think we might have been scores level at quarter time and maybe 13 points
00:14 up at half time. But yeah, you're right. It was a real grind throughout the day. It was
00:18 sort of in passages and moments the game. So I think the team, we got really challenged
00:23 in that third quarter and to our credit we hung tough. It was certainly not a pretty
00:27 watch but we reaped the rewards as you said at the end of the last quarter to get us to
00:33 a margin which makes us probably look a little bit better than what we were but lots to take
00:37 out of today.
00:38 Yeah, the Gunnels exceptional, Brendan Sutcliffe, Bailey Beal, just some experienced heads right
00:45 there. They showed their class today and why they're seriously good footballers in this
00:49 competition so they can hold their head up high that they've lifted us through in a really
00:55 scrappy game. So yeah, scrappy game, lots to work on and towards but good to get the
01:00 first win underway at home.
01:01 Just before we wrap up, you mentioned Bailey Beal, really the only recruiter you got this
01:06 year but I'll tell you what, he brought so much and as the Eagles voted there was no
01:13 doubt that he was best on the ground. He really provided some class with that left foot in
01:19 the centre.
01:20 Yeah, he was exceptional today. He was, in my opinion, the best player on the ground
01:23 by quite a margin but yeah, he was clean. He's tough, he just absorbed all the pressure
01:30 that came his way and his class prevailed and he kicked a couple of goals though and
01:34 hit the scoreboard so he's pressed forward so yeah, really pleased with his efforts today.
01:38 Yeah.
01:39 Yeah.
