00:20 Some of our contacted do not know that the PNR will close for 5 years.

00:25 Others are just confused because they are used to this.

00:30 In Star Mall in Alabang, there are buses that are parked for the duty of duty but almost no one is riding at 9 in the morning.

00:39 The former PNR passengers that we talked to are buses that are being driven to other routes.

00:45 Before, they would go straight or near the PNR station.

00:50 Now, they have to ride to other routes.

00:53 For example, a PUP student that we talked to, from Alabang station, he would go straight to Santa Mesa station, near the PUP campus.

01:02 Now, buses go to Ayala MRT station to ride to Cubao and from there, they ride to LRT2 to Santa Mesa.

01:10 So, aside from the fact that the fare is more expensive, it will take longer.

01:14 The cost of passengers who are trying to ride the alternative buses that the government is allowing to travel on the PNR route is also increasing.

01:23 Based on the tariff that the DOTR has put on the buses, the cost of the trip from Alabang to Tutuban is P71.

01:31 It is P40 more expensive than P30 for the PNR.

01:35 Aside from the passengers who are trying to find a way to survive around the train station, because there are no passengers, they also have no income from their stores.
