00:25 just getting our best swings off continuing to just like use
00:29 middle part of the field credit to their starter did a really
00:32 good job had a soft balance, but you know, it's a pitch a
00:36 staff that we had there would keep us in the game and and
00:39 finally we had a beginning.

00:43 I don't think Arkansas had ever hit back to back to back home
00:46 runs before last year and then you and Kendall have been part
00:49 of it two years in a row.
00:50 I mean, just could you speak to the I don't know uniqueness

00:54 Yeah, I just think that you know, there was it's kind of
00:58 one of those games where you know, neither team neither
01:01 offense is doing much and you know, I was fortunate to put
01:04 a good swing on a ball and I felt that that kind of got
01:07 our dugout going stuff and the Heva hit had a great swing
01:11 and hit one out and obviously digs but me and digs are actually
01:15 joking after the game and I felt like since we've been here,
01:18 we've kind of like hit like like four or five like back to
01:21 backs and if there's a record that we want to check to see
01:24 if like we're up there, but no man, you know, it was it was
01:28 nice to kind of get that start and stuff.
01:30 Like I said credit to their starter.
01:31 He did really good.
01:32 But you know, we put some good swings on those balls and
01:35 what like the sixth or fifth whenever it was.
01:36 Well, is there something different about what Meyer was
01:40 throwing in the six versus what you've seen from the mental?
01:43 Yeah, I just think that you know, he was he was commanding
01:47 the zone.
01:48 He was or at least for this at the start, you know, my first
01:53 have that up there.
01:54 He threw me some good fastballs and I was just trying to say
01:58 the middle part of the field and you know, eventually he
02:01 he hung a change up and I put a good swing on it.
02:03 But you know, they get they get a good team and y'all know
02:07 like the SEC is really hard to win in.
02:08 So, you know, it's huge to to win on Friday and Saturday.

02:18 But I think you might be second in the team in innings.
02:20 I mean, do you carry it all as a starters mentality when
02:23 you go out there that you want to eat as many innings as
02:25 possible or is it didn't you not really thinking like that?
02:28 I don't really typically think like that.
02:31 I kind of just go until I'm told I'm not going any longer
02:35 and then I really enjoy it come out and just because like
02:39 you don't really know when you'll come in.
02:40 So you got to just be in the moment.
02:42 Well, when you do come in and there's guys on base, like
02:46 does they tell you anything or is it just like, hey, it's
02:49 the situation to on to ask just go.
02:51 What's the conversation like?
02:53 Usually just gives us like a situation and then just like,
02:56 you know, where they we would throw the ball to like a stolen
02:59 base or something.

03:05 What do you think it says about y'all's preparation day?
03:07 Y'all were able to jump on that reliever right away.
03:09 Just as soon as they went to the bullpen.
03:10 You guys knew exactly what to expect and were able to put
03:13 good swings on it.
03:14 Yeah, I think a lot of credit goes to coach Thompson and
03:16 our hitting staff coach Wernes.
03:18 They do a really good job prepping us and then scattering
03:21 reported stuff.
03:21 And so, you know, just listen to them and believe it in them
03:25 and stick with our approach kind of like I said, stand in
03:28 the middle of the field.
03:29 And you know, I think that's ultimately why I had success
03:31 in that sixth inning.
03:32 I guess for both of y'all just, you know, each game.
03:35 You have a good starting pitcher on the mound, but for
03:36 will to save the bullpen and have Gackle and all these guys
03:39 available to March.
03:40 What does that do for the team mentally going into game 3?
03:42 Yeah, I mean, it's huge, you know, as a hitter to knowing
03:45 that we have, you know, a guy like Mac that can just chew
03:48 up any those ton of strikes.
03:50 A veteran guy, very experienced.
03:52 And so for him to go out there and you know, five or six run
03:56 lead in the SEC, it can flip on you quick.
03:59 And so for him to go out there after that big inning, give
04:02 us a shutout inning.
04:02 That was huge.
04:03 Kept the momentum back on us, but it's going to be huge,
04:06 man.
04:06 You know, it's hard to sweep a team in the SEC.
04:08 And so as long as you know, you can have as many guys on
04:11 Sunday.
04:12 It's going to be huge for us.
04:14 I think it's pretty big for like a guy like Molina who's
04:17 going to pitch on Sunday knowing that there's plenty arms
04:20 behind him or he doesn't have to go seven, eight innings and
04:24 try and go the whole game where we got plenty of guys that
04:28 can back him up.
04:29 Peyton, I guess you mentioned you and Kendall hitting back

04:35 Like especially after one of y'all's home run that, you
04:37 know, maybe you could give something to the other show

04:41 Yeah, I mean, definitely like if one of us had a home run
04:46 or put a good swing on a ball, you know, kind of go before
04:49 going back to the dugout just kind of like little quick, you
04:52 know, five second.
04:53 This is kind of what he's like what he threw.

04:57 But you know, Kendall's a great hitter and you know, we're
05:01 very lucky to have them not facing them.
05:03 But you know, just just little kind of side convos, you know,
05:06 maybe five six seconds, but you know, nothing in particular.

05:15 I gave Gage or Bat Boy a concussion.

05:22 What's it been like watching Ross Lovage go against his
05:25 former team and have the success he's had the last two days.

05:27 So I think, you know, Ross honestly, since he's as every
05:31 at bat that he has, he's made the most of it.
05:33 He looks really comfortable in the box, really confident.
05:35 And when you have a hitter like that, that's locked in like
05:38 that, you know that he's probably going to get a hit and
05:40 or at least expect to get a hit and you know, baseball is
05:44 really hard.
05:44 So you got to go up there and just let it fly.
05:46 And I feel like that's what he's done.
05:47 But it's super cool for him to be able to, you know, come
05:50 out here and play well, especially against Missouri being
05:53 his former team, but super proud of him and you know, all
05:55 the work he's put in.
