Xavier Johnson Senior Day Speech After Indiana's 65-64 Win Over Michigan State

00:02 You know, I just want to start off by thanking God,

00:06 because none of this would be possible without Him.

00:09 You know, Coach Woodie and his coaching staff

00:14 always believe in me.

00:15 You know, every day they stayed on me.

00:17 I was the hardest one they were on every day.

00:20 It's true.

00:21 (laughter)

00:22 I just want to thank my teammates for pushing me every day.

00:24 After injury, before injury,

00:26 my teammates previously that I was with,

00:29 you know, most importantly, I want to thank my family.

00:31 You know, they're my backbone.

00:35 You know, I just want to thank them for being there every day.

00:43 For, it's been a long six years,

00:45 and I would say this year was my really, really hardest one.

00:48 And I'm still fighting back,

00:50 and the only reason why I'm fighting back

00:51 is because of them behind me.

00:58 And I also want to thank the fans, the true fans,

01:08 Except for me, the City of Blackstone men's basketball team.

01:14 playing for, putting on the Indiana jersey every night.
