00:00 If you can just tell me who you are and why we're here at the Cascade.
00:04 Hi I'm Rob Harrison, I'm Head of Operations here at Chatsworth House.
00:08 We're stood in front of the Cascade here in the gardens.
00:11 We've got some major issues really with its structure.
00:14 We've got serious deterioration of the bed and the stone.
00:17 We've got water that's not running over it, it's running under it unfortunately.
00:21 So we're looking at a project which we've been awarded the first development phase funding from the NLHF
00:26 to look at what the project really needs to be done, what work we need to do to the Cascade.
00:31 So ultimately the project involves many different work streams.
00:35 The one that I'm working on is the capital works, the actual physical works to repair the Cascade.
00:41 Understand what we need to do.
00:43 We're going to further do some intrusive surveys and investigations under the stone
00:47 to look at what work's been done over the years.
00:51 This summer hopefully you see exactly what you see here today.
00:55 Hopefully nothing any different.
00:57 It will be over the next two, maybe even three years, where we undertake more intrusive works.
01:03 Probably taking some of the stone out and repairing it and replacing it.
01:07 Hopefully when we've finished you won't notice anything different.
