00:00 I think you're both new roles, executive vice president.
00:02 I expect him to be happy with that.
00:04 How do things change for you day to day
00:06 in terms of your responsibility and coaching staff and all that?
00:11 I mean, a couple more initials by the name,
00:15 you know, outside of GM, but our roles kind of pretty similar
00:19 just in terms of the way we're building and the way we work.
00:22 You know, still view Cali very much as my partner.
00:25 And it's, you know, it's been cool through this transition
00:29 to get to know him, get to know the coaches and what they're looking for
00:32 and how that's going to help us as scouts.
00:34 What do you think the strengths are in this draft,
00:36 how they match up with the needs of your football team right now?
00:39 Well, I think we're really deep at receiver in this draft
00:43 and O-line as a whole, which are, you know,
00:46 two areas that we're going to be, you know, focusing on.
00:49 But it's a really deep class, a lot of talented young men,
00:52 and we're looking forward to meeting with them throughout this process.
00:55 With how deep they are, the draftees that both of you are,
00:58 how do you weigh the top O-line men and guys,
01:01 the top receivers, and what they should do coming back?
01:05 Again, I think if you look at it strategically, it's about, you know, the value, right?
01:10 So if you're sitting there and there's a receiver there,
01:12 knowing that there's a deep O-line class, it's like,
01:14 where can we, you know, supplement this position, you know, later?
01:19 So it's about playing those two parts off of each other,
01:21 whether that's in free agency as well and in the draft.
01:24 So it's about trying to mix and match those two pieces.
01:27 Are you open for business to tread down, or do you like seven?
01:31 I like seven, but I'm open.
01:33 You know, we have to listen to any offers that may come.
01:36 You know, our long-term goal is to build this football team into a, you know,
01:40 consistent winner, and the way you do that is build it through the draft,
01:44 and off of that, you need draft picks to do that.
01:46 So we'll definitely be willing to listen, but it has to make sense for us.
01:50 Outside of our two positions,
01:51 do you think you'll be talking about gaining any more experience in the draft?
01:56 Not really.
01:57 I would just say, you know, my number one thing is, say,
02:01 adding playmakers to our team, whether that's offensively, defensively.
02:05 Just looking to bring people in that love football,
02:08 that want to be in our place.
02:10 I mean, if you look at the way our coaching staff was built,
02:12 we got, you know, some of the best coaches available.
02:15 I think these -- a lot of guys had other offers
02:17 and could have been in other places but chose to be with us,
02:20 and that's the talent part about who they are.
02:23 When you look at who they are as people and their passion for the game,
02:26 I think it resonates and it's going to permeate throughout our locker room.
02:29 With $90 million in cap space, how many --
