00:02 - Doing a little bonus for y'all, right?
00:09 Here at Forbes, we're gonna give y'all a preview
00:12 of some of Yo Gotti's watch collection, right?
00:14 You gotta lie here, we're gonna dive into it right now
00:17 to find out what his favorite watch is.
00:19 Gotti, take us into this thing, what you got here?
00:22 - Well, there's like 15 of my favorite watches
00:25 that I keep on this coast.
00:27 You know, we got Richard Mills here,
00:29 we got Pateks, we got some cool APs,
00:33 we got a Tiffany, a Tiffany Patek,
00:36 which is super special, you can't get that from Tiffany.
00:39 You can't even get that from the Pateks though, you know?
00:42 - Yeah.
00:43 - Yeah, there's 15 of my favorite,
00:45 and then I'm still on like original,
00:48 you know, original Rolex, this watch here,
00:53 the one I was actually wearing, this a Tiffany Patek,
00:55 so it ain't just a Patek, it's a Tiffany stamped one.
00:58 - Okay.
00:59 - Oh, this watch is super light,
01:01 I feel like I like this watch here.
01:02 - Wow, and it got a little see-through too, you can feel it.
01:05 - Versus this Richard Mills, factory,
01:09 factory diamond, it's super heavy.
01:11 - Yeah.
01:11 - Rose gold.
01:12 - So when this one's on your wrist, you feel this one,
01:14 this is a Richard Millie, and this one's--
01:16 - Both of them Richard Mills.
01:17 - Okay, both of them Richard Mills.
01:18 - They're two different, you know,
01:19 this is rose gold, diamond, factory.
01:21 - Yeah.
01:22 - And that's bubble watch, I wear that one more
01:23 'cause it's light.
01:24 - When did you become fascinated with watches?
01:27 - Man, to me, watches is like outfits, right?
01:29 They personality, they conversation pieces.
01:32 To me, depending on who you meeting with
01:34 and where you going, that's the watch you wear.
01:36 - Yeah.
01:37 - You know what I'm saying?
01:37 So like, if I may go--
01:39 - What business watch would you wear
01:40 if you closing a $100 million deal?
01:42 What's the one that you would, what's the one that you wear?
01:44 - Yeah, probably like one of these Pateks.
01:45 - Okay, something simple then, right?
01:47 - Something simple, something simple.
01:48 - You know what I mean, okay.
01:49 - 'Cause it's different, right?
01:50 Like, I can put on one of these watches, it's like,
01:53 you know, let me see, what else?
01:55 Like, I'll bust down, like a bust down watch,
01:57 like one of these, one of these I might wear to the show
02:00 or to the studio.
02:01 - You're not afraid of losing that at the show?
02:03 - No, no, no, no.
02:04 - No? - No.
02:05 - Would you ever throw that one in the crowd as a gift?
02:08 - We don't throw no watches.
02:08 - No.
02:09 (laughing)
02:12 - Something like that, you know,
02:13 I may wear that on my rapper tip,
02:15 I feel like going to the studio or when I'm performing.
02:18 - Yeah.
02:19 - You know, and then, you know,
02:20 but I never wear that to like a business meet.
02:22 You know, if I'm going to meet with somebody
02:23 and they're talking about doing some, you know,
02:26 it's some of these watches that's with no stones in it,
02:29 that's plain, that's worth more than, you know,
02:31 the watch that's got diamonds in it.
02:33 So, it's personality, it's kind of what the vibe is,
02:36 what the occasion is.
02:37 To me, that's what watches is.
02:39 And like I said, this is maybe 30 or so watches,
02:43 you know, but this is like the West Coast collection
02:45 and I got another.
02:47 - You remember your first watch?
02:49 Is that here at all or is it somewhere else?
02:51 - You know, it's unique, it's funny you say that.
02:52 I thought it was that one,
02:54 'cause I'm looking at the diamonds,
02:55 I'm like, I said, I want it, that's the first one.
02:57 - It's funny you say that.
02:58 If you go back to my album, "Back to the Basics",
03:00 this the watch I had on,
03:02 that maybe over 15 years ago.
03:04 - So, this was the first one?
03:05 - Yeah, this like the first watch and, you know,
03:07 we built this, meaning like, you know,
03:09 bought it through Rolex playing and, you know,
03:12 put the bells on it, iced out the thing.
03:14 So, these ain't Rolex diamonds,
03:15 it's like buying a Rolex and then taking it to the jeweler,
03:18 icing out the band and the thing.
03:21 So, this one of the first Rolexes.
03:23 So, this watch here is just like, you know.
03:26 - Has sentimental value.
03:27 - Exactly.
03:28 - Yeah.
03:29 - I don't wear it, but, you know,
03:31 I thought it's in there with all the rest of the Rolexes.
03:33 - You wouldn't ever, was that maybe
03:35 the last concert you ever do?
03:37 - Maybe something like--
03:38 - Bring it back out?
03:39 - Maybe something like--
03:39 - Like as a sentimental, like, you know,
03:41 remembering the journey of it all?
03:44 So, listen.
03:45 - But this that CMG Rolex right here.
03:49 - Yeah.
03:50 - This is the original CMG.
03:51 (laughing)
03:54 - I mean, obviously, you know what you're doing here, man.
04:06 What's the, and I got you, and I'll tell you again,
04:09 I'll still look good at the great question,
04:11 bring it to your watches, right?
04:12 - Yeah.
04:13 - What's the difference between a good watch collector
04:15 and a great one?
04:16 - Well, I would say it's levels.
04:20 I'm a watch collector, but it's, you know,
04:22 I'm pretty sure there's guys out there
04:24 that get way, way different pieces of,
04:27 you know, I just think Jay was some super, super crazy--
04:30 - Yeah.
04:31 - Pieces of--
04:32 - We can't count him anymore, like,
04:33 there's certain people you just can't count anymore.
04:35 - It's a lot, I think there's some good collectors out there.
04:38 I think now, I'm trying to get more,
04:41 and it's harder to get these watches,
04:42 but I'm trying to get, like, more of the older Pateks.
04:46 Like, the older--
04:47 - Why?
04:48 - 'Cause I think that's, like,
04:50 the more viable, collectible watches.
04:53 Like, the older ones, the older versions,
04:55 fatter nose and good condition.
04:58 It's like, what I'm, kind of what I'm aiming for.
05:02 Right now, a lot of people get caught up in the trends
05:04 with these watches and lose a lot of money.
05:06 You know what I'm saying?
05:07 'Cause, you know, even a lot of these watches I get,
05:10 you know, I get 'em from different places.
05:13 Not all of 'em came from retail,
05:15 they came from, or I bought 'em from somebody
05:17 who bought 'em from retail, who put a lot of money
05:20 on top of it, so.
05:21 When I first started out, first started buying watches,
05:24 I was spending a lot of money,
05:26 extra money for these watches, so.
05:28 Now, I'm trying to just be patient and wait.
05:32 - I was just saying, Gotti, are you done?
05:33 Are you done collecting?
05:35 Do you need any more?
05:36 - No, I ain't done.
05:37 - You ain't done?
05:37 - I ain't done, but I think,
05:39 I don't think, if you love watches, you'll never be done.
05:43 - Yeah.
05:44 - 'Cause there's always gonna be a new watch come out,
05:46 or a new watch you run across
05:48 that you've been waiting on forever, that you can get.
05:51 You know, 'cause again, they like outfits,
05:54 or like, they personality pieces, you know, so.
05:57 - Yeah, I guess I have no personality,
05:58 I just wear beads, man.
06:00 - Nah, that's your personality.
06:00 (laughing)
06:01 That's your swag.
06:02 That's your personality, you know what I'm saying, so.
06:04 - Appreciate this, man, thank you.
06:06 Yo Gotti's watch collection.
06:08 Man, this is pretty nice, though.
06:10 I'm gonna close this, nobody else get jealous.
06:12 (laughing)
06:15 (light music)
06:17 (upbeat music)
