00:00 Joining us Julie, City Red into the Western District playing at a Lawn Bowls Grand Final next weekend.
00:05 How are you feeling?
00:06 Yeah, thanks Justine. I'm very excited.
00:09 I was pretty nervous playing Warrnambool, going into Warrnambool
00:12 because we always have tough matches with them
00:15 and here at Dennington as well, the green can be a little bit tricky.
00:18 So I started off pretty ordinary but anyway, sort of come good about 16th I think.
00:26 But well done to all of our team.
00:28 They played really, really well and in the end it was just a great win.
00:33 So very excited to head to City, so home of Grand Final next week.
00:39 So looking forward to that.
00:41 You're playing Malt Lake Blue, one of the smaller teams in the competition.
00:45 It's going to be a bit of a new situation for them.
00:48 What are you expecting from Malt Lake Blue?
00:50 Well we played them last week at Port Ferry and they played so well, exceptionally well.
00:57 So even though we're at home, it can be a little bit of an advantage
01:02 but Malt Lake have played a lot of bowls on our greens as well
01:05 and they've got some really good players in their team.
01:09 So I would expect a pretty close game.
01:13 And you do get that advantage of being at home under the rotation system with the Grand Finals.
01:18 Is that a bit of an added bonus?
01:20 I think it is, of course it depends on the weather and I haven't looked that far ahead yet.
01:25 We all play pretty well I suppose at home.
01:29 We're pretty protected up there but I still think Malt Lake will really take it to us I think.
01:37 We'll just have to see who comes out on top on the day.
01:41 And you are the City Memorial Manager and the club also has a team in the Tuesday Grand Final this week.
01:49 What does it mean to be strongly represented across the grades?
01:53 Oh look it's great.
01:55 The mid-week as well, we'll be playing off in the Grand Final and again at home.
02:00 So wish them all the best I suppose and just hope the City can bring a couple of medals home.
02:09 Well good luck Julie.
02:10 Thanks Justine.
02:11 Thanks.
