Storm chaser Aaron Rigsby reports from Soda Springs, California, where tremendous snowfall totals have left it looking like a maze as crews work to clear the roads for drivers.

00:02 This atmospheric river has had it all
00:04 and here in Soda Springs, California,
00:06 the snow is really stacking up
00:08 from the relentless amount of atmospheric rivers
00:10 that have been hammering the high Sierras this winter.
00:13 You can see these walls and mazes of snow
00:16 that they have had to stack up
00:17 from the accumulation this season alone.
00:20 Some of them as high as six feet tall.
00:22 Now, last night, they received just 10 inches of snow
00:25 in itself throughout the entire week.
00:27 They've received anywhere from two to three feet,
00:29 especially in the higher elevations.
00:31 The crews, however, have been working extremely hard
00:33 to keep these roadways clear,
00:35 getting the snow out of the way
00:36 and keeping the traffic moving.
00:38 I talked to some of the residents here
00:39 and they're almost hoping
00:40 that this is the last atmospheric river
00:42 they're gonna have to deal with of the season
00:44 because it's getting exhausting.
00:45 This was the same town that was hammered last year
00:47 with record-setting snowfall
00:49 and this year has been no exception.
