00:00 "Oh, why wouldn't I be fine? I'm completely alone and the one person I thought would understand
00:05 is having the time of his life."
00:06 Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the biggest questions we
00:11 really want to see answered before Young Sheldon goes off the air in May 2024.
00:16 Some big plot points for both the original and prequel series will be discussed,
00:21 so brace for spoilers.
00:23 "What is going on with you two?"
00:24 "What's going on with you two?"
00:28 Number 10. What happened to Pastor Rob?
00:31 Diving into the world of Sheldon Cooper's youth gave us the opportunity to meet
00:34 ancillary characters not introduced in the parent series.
00:37 "If Judas hadn't betrayed him, mankind wouldn't have been saved. Pretty cool."
00:43 "I never thought about it like that."
00:46 "You know, when you come at things from unexpected angles, people pay attention more."
00:50 During Mary's time working at the church, we met Pastor Rob,
00:54 a new youth pastor whom Mary develops a friendship with.
00:57 The show has hinted at an attraction between Rob and Mary,
01:00 in a similar albeit less obvious fashion to that of George and Brenda.
01:05 "What's going on here?"
01:06 "Praying. We're praying."
01:08 "Just praying."
01:09 The Mary we know from The Big Bang Theory never mentions Rob,
01:13 so it begs the question if her fascination with him ever went anywhere after George's untimely fate.
01:19 "I wanna sex you up!"
01:21 "Mary, are you okay?"
01:25 "Yeah, I just, um, I had a weird dream."
01:29 Number 9. What's next for Meemaw?
01:32 The introduction of Sheldon's grandmother in The Big Bang Theory was long awaited,
01:36 but came with very little in the way of details about her life.
01:39 "Oh, this is so nice. He's so excited to have you here."
01:42 "Okay, now let's you and me get something straight.
01:44 He may think that I came to bake him cookies, but the real reason is to size you up."
01:51 In Young Sheldon, we see an active woman who owns her business
01:55 and has a thriving relationship with Dale.
01:58 "How we doing?"
01:58 "There's a problem with the cash box."
02:01 "Oh, what's that?"
02:02 "Can't get it to close."
02:03 "That is my kind of problem."
02:05 However, with her home having been destroyed at the end of the season 6 finale,
02:10 much of her money has now been lost to the storm.
02:13 We know she lives on to clash with Amy,
02:15 but we really wanna know how things unfold for her after this tragic set of events.
02:20 "And Connie, obviously you're welcome too."
02:23 "Obviously. But I'm sure that Dale was about to offer."
02:28 "I was gonna. I'm just taking a break."
02:30 Number 8. What's Next For Missy?
02:33 When we last saw Missy, she was sitting in a ditch with her dad
02:37 after a tornado had taken the truck for a spin.
02:39 She'd been going through a bit of a rebellious phase
02:42 and had become somewhat hostile towards her family.
02:44 "Good at the drama."
02:45 "One time, you've been forgetting me my entire life.
02:49 Everything is Sheldon, now Georgie has a baby and you two are fighting.
02:52 Might as well be invisible."
02:54 However, the threat of losing one's life can often cause a person
02:58 to rethink their decisions.
03:00 Will we see a transformed Missy in season 7?
03:03 Or will this push her malignant attitude even further?
03:06 "I would never be able to forgive myself if anything bad happened to you."
03:09 "I hate you."
03:13 We know she eventually gets married, separated,
03:18 and even becomes a mom, but we still want to know how she got there.
03:22 "Her husband would be here, but he stayed home to watch their older son,
03:25 so everything's fine."
03:28 "Stop it. We're separated."
03:32 Number 7. How Mary Fixes Her Relationship With The Church
03:36 During the entire runtime of the Parents series,
03:39 as well as the bulk of the prequel,
03:41 Mary's work life was consumed by the local church.
03:44 "Just focused on work and the church."
03:47 "And what do you do?"
03:48 "I work at the church."
03:49 "Well, they're lucky to have you."
03:53 "Well, thank you."
03:55 Yet when Georgie gets Mandy pregnant out of wedlock,
03:57 Pastor Jeff relieves Mary of her church duties to save face with the congregation.
04:02 "Are you firing her?"
04:03 "No, no. Just a little leave of absence, till things settle down."
04:08 "Is that really necessary?"
04:10 "I believe it is."
04:11 The blowback goes even further when she can't even attend Sunday service
04:15 without feeling the judgment of everyone there.
04:18 With such disdain on both sides,
04:20 we really want to know how she managed to return to the chapel's good graces.
04:24 Did the tornado affect more than just Meemaw?
04:27 Did Mary move and start fresh somewhere else?
04:30 We really would like to know how she found her way back.
04:32 "I just hate to see you walk away from the Lord."
04:35 "Feels like he's walking away from me."
04:43 "I'm sorry."
04:44 Number 6. When will Georgie and Mandy get married?
04:51 Georgie's journey in Young Sheldon has been perhaps one of the most interesting to watch.
04:55 We've seen him evolve from a hormone-infused teenager to a father and husband-to-be.
05:00 "There's something else you could do for my birthday."
05:02 "I had a baby two weeks ago, no."
05:05 "Not that."
05:07 "Then what?"
05:08 "Marry me."
05:11 Although we'd love to know when his affinity for tires kicks back into gear,
05:16 the bigger question that hangs in the air is when he's going to tie the knot with Mandy.
05:20 "Alright, let's get married."
05:21 "What?"
05:23 "Do you think I'm not all in? But I am."
05:26 "Okay, I'm in too."
05:29 Having proposed to her in season 6, we know it's on the radar,
05:33 but could we see those nuptials before the show signs off?
05:36 With a George and Mandy spin-off series having been announced,
05:39 we might find ourselves waiting even longer to get this answer.
05:43 "What are you doing?"
05:43 "I ain't waiting to get home to kiss you."
05:46 Number 5.
05:50 Will there be more The Big Bang Theory cameos?
05:53 Young Sheldon often features narration from the Sheldon Cooper we all knew on The Big Bang Theory.
05:58 "From the wheel to the International Space Station, which I went to."
06:03 "Honestly, this again? Like we don't hear about your Nobel Prize all the time."
06:08 And given the voice appearances of Amy and Howard,
06:10 and Sheldon's discussion of things we never saw on the original show,
06:14 we can assume that aspect of the story is occurring sometime in the future.
06:18 "It says the woman who took away my comic book allowance."
06:20 "To start a college fund for our children."
06:23 "Comic books are an investment."
06:25 "There are better places to invest our money than that weird wolfman you like."
06:28 "His name is Wolverine and you know it."
06:31 So, we wonder if perhaps we might be treated to additional
06:35 voice cameos from the original cast before the series ends.
06:38 For all we know, the series finale could show why older Sheldon is telling the story
06:42 with a peek at where he ended up and what his children look like today.
06:46 "I wanted his name to be Leonard Nimoy Cooper, but Amy wouldn't let me."
06:50 "Be happy I let you name him Leonard."
06:53 "Okay, okay."
06:54 "Love you."
06:55 "Love you too."
06:57 Number 4.
06:58 Georgie and Sheldon's rocky relationship.
07:01 At the end of season 11 of The Big Bang Theory,
07:03 fans finally got to meet Sheldon's older brother Georgie, whom he'd mentioned multiple times.
07:08 "What do you want Sheldon? Why aren't you returning my phone calls?"
07:12 "You're supposed to be the smart one. You figure it out."
07:15 "He's not that kind of smart, you might want to give him a hint."
07:18 It was here we learned the two had drifted apart after Sheldon moved to California to attend Caltech.
07:25 In Young Sheldon, the two have a vastly different relationship,
07:29 which makes us wonder how events unfolded to push these two brothers so far apart.
07:33 "Remember when I used to sit on your head when you'd watch Star Trek?"
07:36 "I do."
07:37 "Guess what I did when they'd fire their phasers."
07:39 "You don't need to say it."
07:41 Older Georgie gives a pretty good rundown of what happened,
07:44 so we're left wondering if we'll see the genesis of this in Young Sheldon, or the new spinoff.
07:49 "What do you think took care of everything?"
07:50 "Mom did. Mom always took care of everything."
07:53 "Mom was a miss. Missy was a dumb teenager. I had to look after both of them."
07:59 Number 3. What happened to Paige?
08:01 One of the more surprising things to come out of Young Sheldon was to see him develop
08:05 a friendship with an early nemesis of his.
08:08 "I really did just need to get to know her better."
08:10 "Checkmate. You lose."
08:14 "Red alert. Phasers, stand by to fire on my order."
08:19 "Guess that makes me the smartest."
08:21 Paige Swanson showed up during season two,
08:23 and has been popping in and out of Sheldon's life ever since.
08:26 Perhaps his most notable rival of the time,
08:28 Paige in some ways has been the antithesis of Sheldon.
08:32 "I actually just sit in my dorm room and study because I have no friends."
08:35 "That's a bummer."
08:37 "Yeah. I think I'm gonna go. Bye."
08:44 Whereas he has thrived as a young genius,
08:47 she has experienced great difficulty across her life spectrum.
08:50 With no mention of her in the original series,
08:53 we're left to wonder if her story has a happy ending,
08:55 or if she's doomed to tragedy much like Sheldon's father.
08:58 "You're smarter than Sheldon. Why don't you act like it?"
09:00 "Um."
09:01 "I am."
09:02 "If that was true, then how come my pizza's still in my stomach
09:05 and yours is in the fountain?"
09:06 "What good is being smart if you're all alone?"
09:10 One of the biggest challenges with prequel stories is how to handle
09:17 the already established canon from the originals.
09:19 The Big Bang Theory had 12 seasons of material that provided
09:23 plenty of details about Sheldon's younger life.
09:25 "You try one time to tell me who I should be sleeping with,
09:28 and you and I are gonna go round and round the way we did when we were little.
09:31 Remember?"
09:32 Young Sheldon has both followed and countered its predecessor.
09:38 Given the intensity of some of what older Sheldon discussed,
09:41 it does make us wonder how much the final season will truly line up
09:45 with what we've already learned.
09:46 From Missy and Sheldon's relationship to George's fate,
09:49 they all have precedent in the original series.
09:52 "So, does your dad still live in Texas?"
09:54 "No, he died when I was 14."
09:57 "I'm sorry to hear that."
10:00 The prequel's writing and performances have proven that it stands on its own.
10:04 So ultimately, whether it strays from the existing canon
10:07 or trailblazes into something completely new,
10:10 we'll be waiting with bated breath.
10:12 "Someday, we'll be together.
10:17 Hun, hun, hun, hun, hun, hun."

10:35 Number 1. The Three Knox Origin
10:40 It only took 10 seasons before fans learned why Sheldon always knocks three times.
10:44 "When I opened the door, I saw my father having relations with another woman."
10:49 "Oh, that's awful."
10:52 "I know. It's also why I never open a door without knocking three times."
10:56 We'd heard about his father's infidelity and death several times before.
11:00 But when he tells Penny about catching his dad in a compromising situation at home,
11:04 we finally understood why he's always been so cautious.
11:07 "Well, what happened with your dad?"
11:09 "We locked eyes, I ran to my room, and we never ever spoke of it."
11:14 We've seen some of Sheldon's original eccentricities in the prequel series,
11:18 but the three-knock scene has yet to surface.
11:21 The last few seasons have hinted at George and Mary's marital problems
11:24 and teased a possible affair with Brenda.
11:27 But only season 7 can tell us whether or not we'll see Sheldon's world changed forever.
11:32 "Rachel does have the kids."
11:38 "Oh god, I'm sorry. That was... that was over the line."
11:41 What's the one question you need answered more than any from young Sheldon's last season?
11:46 Let us know down in the comments.
11:48 "Well, when you tried to watch the tape, I ended up watching the first 12 seconds of it,
11:51 and the completest in me had to finish it."
11:53 "That's so dumb. I love it. Tell me everything."
