00:00 People always think that actors are liars,
00:02 but I actually think actors tell the truth so convincingly
00:06 that you believe it.
00:07 So this will be a lot of acting right under their noses.
00:10 I'm not going to tell them I'm an actor.
00:12 I'm going to show them.
00:13 I think off the bat, I would hope
00:19 they don't realize how emotional and vulnerable I am.
00:21 I think in this stage of my life,
00:23 I choose to wear my heart on my sleeve,
00:25 and I choose to meditate and sit on every decision.
00:29 And I hope that every decision I make
00:31 is the right one and a good one.
00:33 You know, I don't want to feel like I'm too open to be
00:35 manipulated, is what it is.
00:37 Something that I don't want to share with people
00:40 is that I'm a doctor of physical therapy.
00:42 I think that historically, people hear the word doctor,
00:46 and they're like, oh, well, then she probably
00:47 doesn't need the money, right?
00:49 You know, we could all benefit from winning a million dollars.
00:52 I think that if it comes up, I'll just
00:54 say I'm a physical therapist.
00:55 My weaknesses are I have injured my shoulder.
00:59 I have 10 dislocations, and I've recently had a shoulder
01:02 surgery, and it's still a little iffy.
01:04 And also, my left knee is a little wonky.
01:07 It hurts all the time.
01:08 I don't want them to know I'm one of the weakest players.
01:11 Maybe it is good for me.
01:12 Maybe it is bad for me.
01:13 Time will tell.
01:14 I don't want the other players to know that I'm kind of well
01:19 off at this point in my life.
01:21 My portfolio of houses that I own--
01:23 I own 47 houses.
01:25 I was offered $10 million before I came out here
01:28 for those 47 houses that I turned down.
01:31 So I don't want people to know that Q got
01:34 some little change in the bank.
01:35 But also, I don't want them to know my true personality, where
01:41 I'm a likable person.
01:42 I connect with folks easily.
01:44 So I want to kind of keep that on a D-low.
01:46 Something I don't want the other players to know
01:48 is exactly how much I'm calculating and trying
01:51 to be flexible and fluid.
01:53 I know they're going to think I'm smart because, I don't know,
01:56 it's kind of hard to hide.
01:57 But I don't want them to know how smart I am.
01:59 Like, it's going to be tricky to hide that.
02:01 But I'll try.
02:03 I'm not planning on telling the other players I went to Harvard.
02:07 Frankly, it's not that big a deal.
02:10 You know, it's not like I'm some super genius.
02:13 In fact, there are definitely a lot of people out here
02:15 who are smarter than me by a long shot.
02:17 Very little things can become the biggest deal very fast
02:21 and get you voted off.
02:23 So I see no reason to say that.
02:25 The one thing that I don't want them to know
02:27 is that I'm an actor.
02:28 [LAUGHS]
02:31 I will be going and letting them think that I'm a singer,
02:34 which isn't a lie.
02:35 I am a singer.
02:36 But I also am an actor.
02:37 But the first thing they'll say is, oh, you're an actor?
02:39 Let's vote him off because he must can lie.
02:41 And people always think that actors are liars.
02:43 But I actually think actors tell the truth so convincingly
02:47 that you believe it.
02:48 This will be a lot of acting right under their noses.
02:50 I'm not going to tell them I'm an actor.
02:51 I'm going to show them.
02:52 When I trust someone, I trust them wholeheartedly.
02:55 And I don't want the other players
02:56 to take that for a weakness.
02:57 So I don't want them to see how much I invest in my alliance
03:01 and who are my alliance.
03:03 And I don't want to use the word "trust" with everyone
03:06 because I don't want to give that weapon
03:07 to every single person.
03:09 Something that I don't want other players to know about me
03:11 is that I'm incredibly perceptive and observant.
03:15 I think one of the most important skills to win
03:17 this game is your self-awareness.
03:19 If you don't know how people are reacting to you,
03:22 if you don't know how people are feeling about you,
03:24 you're going to be sent to Ponderosa in no time.
03:27 And I'm not here to go to Ponderosa.
03:29 I'm here to win the Survivor jackpot.
03:31 I don't think I want the other players to know how much
03:34 I actually do for a living.
03:36 I don't want them to know the full scope of it.
03:37 I'm going to go into the game, and I'm
03:39 going to present myself as Tiffany, the visual artist who
03:42 paints pretty canvases for her client here and there.
03:45 And I had a couple of big gigs, but nothing too crazy.
03:47 I don't want people to know that I'm actually
03:50 a senior video producer, a content creator,
03:53 owner of talent, that I've interviewed people
03:55 on the red carpet at the Grammys and the Met Gala.
03:58 That might cue them into the fact
03:59 that it's my job to get people to let their guard down for me,
04:02 to make people feel comfortable.
04:04 And then that's going to mess up my gameplay.
04:06 I can't have that.
04:07 I always say it's good to be underestimated.
04:10 People are going to look at me, and they're
04:11 going to think for sure that this
04:12 is some dainty little princess who doesn't
04:14 like to get her hands dirty.
04:15 But that can be anything from the truth.
04:17 I handle my own [BLEEP] and I'm going to just be
04:20 a little sneaky little girl getting some blind sides in,
04:24 some backstabbing in.
04:25 Who knows?
04:26 We'll see.
04:26 Something about me that I don't want anyone to know
04:28 is I actually have a master's degree in leadership.
04:31 I went to school.
04:33 I know how to lead.
04:35 And I know leader is a sort of bad word in Survivor.
04:39 But I think leadership gets a bad rap.
04:41 There's a difference between managing and leading.
04:45 And so I don't have to tell anyone
04:47 that I'm a leader in order to just get it done.
04:51 And honestly, I think it's the only thing that I'm
04:55 going to hide about myself.
04:56 I am going to deceive them.
04:57 And I am a very honest person.
04:59 I actually love--
05:01 I don't like to lie at all.
05:03 That's like my genuine thing.
05:04 I really don't.
05:05 But there is a level of misdirection that's needed here.
05:09 I don't want the players to know how far I'm willing to go
05:12 to get what I want in this game.
05:14 Something about me I don't want other players to know
05:18 is that I'm using their information, their personality
05:23 and characteristics to my advantage.
05:25 I want to use what I learn as insight to fuel my game,
05:32 opposed to things they just might think
05:35 I'm interested in naturally.
05:37 I don't want them to know I'm as smart as I am.
05:41 I didn't have to go to college to be smart.
05:43 And I know that I come across very ditzy.
05:46 I know I can come across very airheaded.
05:48 And that is design, because it's easier for me
05:51 to get things done that way.
05:52 I'm a pretty girl.
05:53 I know how to use it.
05:54 If I'm at the salon and I need something done, I'm like,
05:57 oh, can you help me?
05:58 And then all the motorcycle boys who work next door help me.
06:02 I am actually very intelligent under all
06:06 of this bimbo facade.
06:08 I'm going to make that work for me out here.
06:10 So if I can keep my brains hidden,
06:13 I'm going to do that as long as I can.
06:14 There are two things that I really don't want to be known.
06:17 Number one is I was on my way to medical school.
06:20 I graduated from college early, had direct admissions,
06:23 full ride.
06:24 That's where I was heading.
06:25 I decided a different path.
06:26 But that just-- why would anyone tell--
06:28 no one needs to know that.
06:29 And then also, I don't think I'm going to advertise that I build
06:33 challenges for these kids in my high school.
06:35 I'm not going to advertise--
06:36 I kind of like Carson kept it to himself.
06:38 I'm not going to advertise that I have the tree
06:39 puzzle in my house, that I have the flam puzzle in my house,
06:42 that the final five puzzle I literally
06:45 built three weeks ago before coming out here.
06:48 I'm going to keep that all under wraps.
06:50 There's no reason to just paint a bigger target on me.
06:52 I'm a software engineer.
06:54 I'm like, OK, things might not look so good for me.
06:56 I'm a software engineer.
06:58 I'm Asian.
06:58 I'm from the Bay Area.
06:59 I think that comes with a lot of stereotypes.
07:01 But I don't really care if people know that about me,
07:03 because I think that the way that I come off
07:05 and the way that I speak will totally make me not as scary
07:08 as I could come off as.
07:09 I do not want the other players to even imagine or think
07:14 that I work in politics.
07:16 I'm telling them I do IT for the city, which is true.
07:19 I work in local government.
07:20 But I've also been a deputy campaign manager.
07:24 I was communications director for a local elected official.
07:28 And I want that idea of politics and whipping votes
07:32 as far from their brains as possible
07:35 without really giving that huge part of my life away.
07:40 (bell chimes)
