00:02 - Hey, it's people like Penn.
00:05 I guess when you're Super Bowl champs two years in a row,
00:08 you know how to party like champs too.
00:10 So here's what you didn't see
00:11 from the Chiefs after party in Vegas, baby.
00:14 First of all, Taylor went clubbing
00:16 with her boyfriend and her parents.
00:18 (upbeat music)
00:20 They appeared to be having fun.
00:24 And so was Jason Kelce.
00:26 Ooh boy.
00:28 Nobody parties better than Jason Kelce.
00:31 Now at some point, Taylor put on Travis's sparkly jacket
00:34 that he wore before the game.
00:36 And then they were off, kissing, singing to her own music.
00:40 (upbeat music)
00:43 Yup, and dancing till morning,
00:46 or at least until 5 a.m. when their appetite hit.
00:49 Now that's when they got their hands on some chicken fingers.
00:52 Man, these two know how to have fun.
00:54 And while the Chiefs were over there
00:57 winning their little game or whatever,
00:59 Queen B was starring in a Super Bowl commercial
01:01 announcing Renaissance Act II.
01:03 And she dropped two new songs.

05:07 Five questions with Camila Mendes.
05:08 Hi, Camila.
05:10 As someone who grew up on rom-coms,
05:12 your new movie Upgraded feels like a fresh take
05:14 on the genre, I loved it.
05:16 - You gonna invite me inside?
05:18 - Excuse me, what happened to your manners, Downton Abbey?
05:21 - The evolved rom-com, what drew you to it?
05:24 - As an actor, I was just drawn to the idea
05:27 of playing a role that's, you know,
05:29 feels a little bit more lighthearted and fun
05:32 than other roles that I've done.
05:33 I got to lean into a little bit more of a comedic vibe.
05:37 - And what ways do you relate to her
05:38 and in what ways don't you relate to her?
05:40 - Yeah, it's really hard for me to think about ways
05:42 that I'm not similar.
05:44 I think actually, actually I just thought of one.
05:46 I'm not a white liar.
05:48 I don't lie like that, I can't,
05:51 it makes me anxious to just like drop a little white lie
05:56 because of the follow through of that lie.
05:59 Like what happened to Anna is like my worst nightmare,
06:02 so I would never even take that risk.
06:04 I think I'm very ambitious and driven in my career
06:07 and I have like a deep passion for acting
06:10 and I've been relentless in that goal since I can remember.
06:13 And so I admire that a lot in Anna
06:16 and that's part of why I really related to her.
06:18 And then also just like her sense of humor
06:20 and her silliness, which was definitely like,
06:22 you know, that came from me as a person.
06:26 I remember when I showed this movie to my parents
06:29 for the first time, they were like,
06:31 "It's so nice to see you play a role
06:33 "that's more like you," you know?
06:34 'Cause obviously I've played, you know,
06:37 Veronica on Riverdale and Drea on "Do Revenge,"
06:39 they're all very confident and self-assured
06:43 and they're quick-witted and you know,
06:44 they're always on it and although that is a part of me,
06:48 it's like very much one side of me
06:50 and there's a whole other side of me
06:51 that I don't think I've gotten to show yet, until now.
06:55 - I read that you executive produced the film as well.
06:58 Is that a direction you're interested in the future?
07:00 - Oh yeah, very much so.
07:03 I got a couple things cooking, so,
07:05 and not just as executive producer,
07:07 but as a capital P producer, so just you wait.
07:11 - Now in the past, I've heard you say
07:13 that chemistry is so important between actors.
07:16 So I'd love to know, in your opinion,
07:18 what three elements are necessary for a rom-com?
07:21 - Yeah, chemistry, definitely number one.
07:24 Comedy and I guess nuance.
07:29 Like I just feel like it needs to feel
07:30 like it's specific and unique.
07:33 I don't particularly like the rom-coms
07:35 that feel very like cookie cutter.
07:37 I think there is a place for that
07:39 and it can be quite comforting,
07:41 but I do like to kind of elevate it a little bit
07:43 and make it feel different in some way.
07:46 - You also wrapped Riverdale this past summer,
07:48 which was a huge moment in pop culture
07:50 and in your personal career.
07:52 What was it like adjusting to life
07:54 after seven seasons on the same show?
07:56 - Yes, I am that Veronica Lodge.
07:59 Honestly, I think I was very ready for this next chapter
08:02 by the time it was over,
08:04 even though it was obviously really emotional
08:06 and sad as it was ending.
08:09 I was kind of ready to age out of that phase
08:12 and enter this new phase
08:14 and I think it's been kind of effortless.
08:16 I think I've just kind of been really happy
08:18 to have a little bit more free time
08:19 and enjoying more quality time
08:22 with people that I didn't get to see as much.
08:24 - I know you're still besties with Lily and Madeline.
08:27 Is the group chat lit?
08:29 (laughing)
08:32 - It's pretty lit, I gotta say.
08:33 No, it's not even like, it's not spicy.
08:37 It's more just all of us like venting about things
08:40 that are worrying us or being like,
08:42 hey, are you guys also experiencing this?
08:45 Like, we really lean on each other,
08:47 especially like coming out of this phase of our lives.
08:51 We're all kind of experiencing the same anxieties
08:54 at the same time and it's really nice to have people
08:58 who relate to you in that way.
08:59 - We're gonna put 10 seconds on the clock.
09:01 Tell everyone why they should check out Upgraded
09:04 before time runs out.
09:05 Ready?
09:06 Go.
09:07 - Watch Upgraded.
09:07 It's a very lovely, funny rom-com.
09:10 You won't regret it.
09:11 - Wow, you seem a bit young to be the director.
09:14 - Yeah.
09:15 - The youngest director in company history.
09:17 - Camilla, thank you so much for being here.
09:19 - It was so fun talking to you, thank you.
