00:00 Former 1Malaysia Development Berhad 1MDB General Counsel, Jasmine Loo, told the High Court
00:08 that she would wait outside Datuk Srinajib Razak's house in Jalan Langgar Dutar while
00:13 fugitive businessmen Loh Dek Joh or Joh Loh went in to have Najib sign 1MDB-related documents.
00:21 Loo, who is the prosecution's 50th witness, said this when questioned by Deputy Public
00:28 Prosecutor Dipan Nair Devaharan at Najib's RM2.28 billion 1MDB trial in Kuala Lumpur on
00:35 Wednesday.
00:37 She said there were times where she just waited at the gate while Joh Loh came out of Najib's
00:42 house and took documents from her.
00:45 In her 63-page witness statement, Loo said that in 2012 and 2013, she prepared documents
00:53 by printing them and placing them in a folder, then gave them to Joh Loh by hand delivery
00:59 anywhere that Joh Loh directed, including at Najib's door at his residence in Langgar
01:05 Dutar.
01:06 Loo added that otherwise, she would give the folder to any individual directed by Joh Loh
01:11 and that individual would hand it over to Joh Loh to obtain the signature.
01:17 She said only after the signature was obtained, Joh Loh would hand over the documents to her
01:22 personally or to any individual to be given to her.
01:27 Loo added that if the document was not handed over to her, Joh Loh would send her a message
01:33 via his BlackBerry messenger to ensure that the documents were handed over to the 1MDB
01:39 office for further action.
01:41 On Tuesday, Loo told the court that during her time at 1MDB, she would only meet with
01:47 Najib at meetings or events related to 1MDB, together with 1MDB's management, and that
01:54 she had never met with Najib alone or directly for any company-related matters.
02:00 70-year-old Najib is on trial for four charges of abuse of power that allegedly brought him
02:08 the financial benefit to the tune of 2.28 billion ringgit and 21 for money laundering
02:14 involving the same amount of money.
02:17 The trial continues before Justice Colin Lawrence-Sakera.
