00:00 Extreme weather, so only 76 kilometres on stage 3.
00:04 We were expecting to go for the mountain, but now it looks like it's going to be more a sprint.
00:10 Cockhard today I think will be one to watch for sure.
00:14 He's a smaller sprinter, a lighter sprinter, so I think the uphill sprints like that suits him.
00:18 The positioning will be very important.
00:21 I will try to have Luc in my wheel the most longer as possible, and then he'll kick for the finish.
00:29 They rolled out, but to what?
00:31 It was very quiet at the beginning, and then all of a sudden, all hell broke loose as the breakaway decided to go for the modified course.
00:38 Kicking on, beautifully so, David Delgado.
00:42 That was temptation. Two others joined him, and then the bridger, Alan Paltzer, made it four.
00:48 Could they make it? Oh no.
00:51 The back had too much at stake. So many different kinds of riders could win the day.
00:55 It didn't matter how brave you were up front, it was always going to end in a climb, a sprint one as well.
01:02 Drama.
01:04 And so that kick-up just beyond the park awaited everybody.
01:08 The senses were alive. They were getting themselves into colour order when Muta'al Hazani went for it.
01:14 He was hopeful to do it for Oman. It wasn't to be.
01:18 Driving through all the quick men, the strong men, the GC men, they all had an option.
01:23 Time to kick on, through the Golden Gates, and take the day.
01:27 Sudal Quick-Step absolutely in charge, wrestling it home.
01:31 Luc Lamperti in the white jersey, good enough for the lead, but Paul Magnier taking the win.
01:36 Frank Coquard, just denied in third.
01:39 On the last climb it was steeper than expected, to be honest.
01:43 But I was feeling very good, very good positioning, and then I just go full gas to the finish, and victory.
01:50 Very happy about this.
01:52 Great win for Magnier. Super day for Sudal Quick-Step.
01:55 Magnier taking it ahead of his teammate Lamperti, who goes into the lead.
02:00 He's in red for tomorrow. Narrow it is, though.
02:03 Same time as Finn Fischer-Black.
02:06 How will we race? Depends on the weather.
