00:00 A little bit of interesting stuff, and we're gonna talk about this because of Caleb Odom,
00:04 who Caleb Odom is a player that Ole Miss was clearly second on, committed to Joe Cox
00:10 and Nick Saban at Alabama when he went to that school.
00:15 Joe Cox is now the tight end coach at Ole Miss.
00:19 That's relevant.
00:21 Now, he did not transfer away when Alabama was granted their 30-day transfer window because
00:28 he thought he was playing for Ryan Grubb, who was a guy who was known for getting the
00:32 most out of his wide receivers and all of that.
00:35 And all the coaches that he thought he was gonna have under that staff is going to be
00:40 turned over as well.
00:41 Look at this article from the Seattle Times, okay?
00:45 This is just a paragraph of it.
00:48 Though the Seahawks had interest in Grubb from the start, one reason for waiting to
00:52 make the hire official was to allow a 30-day window for Alabama players to enter the portal
01:00 to pass, which means this shows intent to deceive.
01:09 In this era of doing everything you can for the players whenever they challenge an issue,
01:16 this shows that you can get a waiver if Alabama players that are on offense want to go into
01:21 the next transfer portal window.
01:23 Lawyer up, sit there and press the SEC for the waiver to get you immediate eligibility.
01:29 You will get it.
01:30 It's a slam dunk.
01:31 It's right here.
01:32 This is intent to deceive.
01:34 This is intent to protect your roster so the players would not go to other SEC schools.
01:42 And they were doing that by the threat of Ryan Grubb being the offensive coordinator
01:46 at Alabama.
01:47 It's what it was.
01:50 It was a situation where he was able to hold it together because of his reputation as a
01:54 play caller.
01:56 He is a really good play caller.
01:57 That's the reason he's in the NFL right now.
02:00 But it's an intent to deceive people to keep them out of the transfer portal if they want
02:05 it to go.
02:06 It is almost the equivalent of entrapment.
02:09 It is trying to get them into spring practice so they can survive.
02:13 Now before everybody understands, I realize that Alabama absolutely had to do this.
02:20 Okay, I get that.
02:22 I think the SEC window of only playing an SEC, playing for an inside conference transfers,
02:30 it has to, you have to transfer before February 1st.
02:33 I think that's no different than allowing multiple transfers in a season.
02:38 I think if somebody challenges that, they're going to win.
