Shrewsbury Celebrates the 20th Anniversary of their very own "Potato Day"!

00:00 Hi, I'm Rachel Strivens. I'm the chairwoman of Shropshire Organic Gardeners and this year

00:06 we're celebrating our 20th anniversary of our potato day and

00:09 it started up at Nescliffe and has moved slowly closer to Shrewsbury as we've needed a bigger venue and

00:17 we get a huge turnout up to 500 people in the day and

00:22 they come to buy the heritage potatoes. They can buy them by the

00:27 individual tuber and

00:30 so you can try lots of different varieties.

00:33 We also have lots of yummy cakes and soup and bread, bacon butties, sausage butties

00:41 and that's what people really come for I think.
