00:00 >> I know you can't delve into it too deeply, but Jayden Rashada,
00:04 the NCAA investigation, you're among a few schools that are being looked at.
00:10 And I know many more probably have issues.
00:14 Was this kind of an inevitability,
00:17 given the way this whole thing kind of came out of the gate?
00:19 These kind of issues cropping up.
00:22 And first off, what can you say about Jayden in that case?
00:25 But also just kind of the inevitable nature,
00:27 given the lack of guidelines and unclear rules.
00:31 >> Yeah, I mean, I think you guys know that we can't speak specifically.
00:36 I mean, I think we've made a statement there.
00:38 We'll refer to that.
00:39 I do think college football right now is in a very unique space.
00:44 It has been for two, I mean, there's probably a little more sanity
00:51 as we speak compared to maybe 18 months ago.
00:54 I think we at least kind of understand what's required.
00:59 But we need change.
01:03 I think everybody knows that.
01:04 It's great to see some of our leadership.
01:06 You saw the SEC and the Big Ten kind of collaborating and creating a group.
01:10 I told the staff yesterday, the staff meeting at 745,
01:17 when I'm riding to work every morning, I think the big thing for
01:22 me is I would like to get back to the games about the players.
01:27 It's about the team.
01:29 I think so much of this has consumed your time, right?
01:36 And some of the things that are good about our game,
01:38 I'm just hopeful that we don't lose those things, right?
01:41 I think the game can teach you a lot about life.
01:43 There's a ton of intangibles and values that we get an opportunity to teach.
01:50 I think the game has become a little bit more transactional,
01:54 used to be very transformational.
01:59 I think there's an element to our game that I'm hopeful we can keep.
02:03 And I think we get to control how we operate at the University of Florida
02:07 in-house, right?
02:09 And I think I'm excited about working with this team, if that makes sense.
02:14 I think we've got, this group has done a great job.
02:17 We've obviously right in the middle of a new offseason program with Coach Fitz,
02:23 who I assume you're gonna ask about at some point.
02:25 So that's what I would say.
02:29 I think that I'm hopeful we can at some point here kinda create some
02:35 guidelines and parameters and we can kinda move forward and
02:38 get back to coaching ball, so.
02:40 >> I said the NCAA involvement cuz I think a while back you basically said
02:43 you didn't expect any of that.
02:45 >> Yeah, I mean, I think that all those things will be
02:49 addressed going forward, we can't get specific right now.
