00:05 Talked a lot about the side.
00:07 Let's get into this total, 47 and 1/2.
00:09 I don't know-- it is very possible
00:12 that I am so on the niners that the total just
00:15 doesn't even speak to me.
00:16 Because we all kind of have our final scores.
00:19 We'll do that later in the week.
00:21 I may never do mine.
00:22 I'm just going to keep that to myself, possibly.
00:24 But this 47 and 1/2, Ben, no movement.
00:28 I mean, have the books even taken a bet on this total?
00:31 No, I don't think so.
00:32 I think the only bit of movement we have seen
00:34 is for a brief moment in time when the movement had the San
00:37 Francisco 49ers at a 2 and 1/2 point favorite.
00:40 I saw the juice to the under at minus 115.
00:43 But outside of that, it's been minus 110,
00:45 the same vig on either side.
00:46 If you think we get points, we go over 47 and 1/2,
00:49 or we stay under that number.
00:51 What I think is the fascinating conversation
00:53 is how does this total factor into the outcome of the football
00:57 game, right?
00:58 Because when you think Patrick Williams,
00:59 and you think Travis Kelsey, despite what
01:01 we have seen this year for this Andy Reid-led offense,
01:04 with Matt Nagy calling plays now, too,
01:07 you still look at those people playing in a Super Bowl,
01:09 and you think that's points.
01:10 We're getting to 50 easy.
01:11 We don't even need to think about it.
01:13 But this Chiefs team is different.
01:15 It relies on the defense.
01:17 It was a middle of the pack scoring offense
01:20 throughout the regular season, Kansas City only averaging
01:22 21 and 1/2 points per game in the previous five years
01:26 that all culminated with a trip to the AFC championship, Joe.
01:29 They averaged better than 28 points per game.
01:31 They were a top 10 scoring offense.
01:33 So I think you could make the argument,
01:34 if KC is going to win its second consecutive Super Bowl
01:37 championship, this game has to stay under.
01:39 Yeah, I agree completely with King Kansas City in terms
01:42 of this ballgame because of the lack of offensive weapons
01:45 in terms of consistency.
01:46 We talked about Travis Kelsey.
01:48 Rasheed Rice has shown glimpses, but not
01:51 the consistent week-to-week type of progression and development.
01:55 And look at the teams that they lost to, right?
01:57 We talk about Philadelphia, 21-17,
02:00 Buffalo in the regular season, 17-14, Detroit, 21-20,
02:04 all dead unders, right?
02:05 If Kansas City's allowed to establish the style of play,
02:10 this game trends under.
02:11 However, you have Brock Purdy.
02:13 You have these weapons for San Francisco.
02:15 If I'm Kyle Shannon, I want to be aggressive.
02:18 So I'm favoring multiple points and multiple opportunities
02:22 out of San Francisco because I do believe
02:24 they want to put Pat Mahomes in terms of a catch-up detriment
02:28 and deficit in terms of this ballgame.
02:30 And then that leads to multiple scoring opportunities,
02:33 not just for Kansas City because they
02:35 need to be more aggressive, but then maybe
02:38 that San Francisco defense or even San Francisco's offense,
02:42 should they get three and outs, Donnie?
02:43 Yeah, both of these teams really should be in the 20s,
02:45 to be honest.
02:46 I don't think we're going to be sweating out 24 and 1/2
02:47 or 23 and 1/2.
02:49 As much as we-- the much maligned,
02:50 I guess you could say, Patrick Mahomes offense,
02:52 when they need to kick it in gear, they can.
02:54 The problem is they haven't had to do that.
02:56 Against Baltimore, I said, you know what?
02:58 We're going to drop 27 points in that game.
03:00 No question in my mind you're taking a look there
03:02 at Kansas City that could easily meet that.
03:04 But if we would have went back to the beginning of the season,
03:06 before we even played week one, and he said, you know what?
03:08 The Super Bowl is going to be Kansas City and San Francisco.
03:11 Not a huge surprise.
03:12 But the minute you started to say 47 and 1/2,
03:15 you're just writing it down.
03:16 The sky is the limit on this football game.
03:18 They're going to absolutely chew right through that here.
03:20 So that 47 and 1/2, I'm actually surprised
03:22 we haven't had movement.
03:23 Because everybody loves totals.
03:24 Everybody loves to bet totals.
03:25 But where it ends up this week, I'm
03:27 not surprised if it ends at 47 and 1/2.
