00:23 How did you land on that song?
00:27 He presented two options. And the best options that he thought would fit us.
00:34 And we decided that "I'll Be There For You" was perfect.

00:48 What makes John such an icon?
00:55 The first thing that came to my mind, I can't say because I was like,
00:58 he's just a complete badass. But I think his freedom to do whatever he wants.
01:04 The fact that he's been able to sustain a beautiful marriage in this business.
01:10 The fact that he's been able to create music that has taken him all around the world.
01:15 And that inspired his philanthropic efforts. So to me, that's the ideal artist.
01:23 And being a damn good human. I mean, that's that right there.
01:28 And to have this level of influence and still be touchable, you know, relatable.
01:34 That right there is goals for any artist. That's a goal that I have.
01:37 To still be the same and be a great human.
01:40 Speaking of goals, big weekend coming up. What are your goals for Grammy weekends?
01:45 Doing it. Just being here and being present.
01:49 Not missing the moments. Not being self-absorbed.
01:53 But to celebrate everybody. Because everybody here is a winner.
01:56 And that's not a cliché thing to say. I think that all of us have gone through
02:01 moments of redemption. So to be able to stand up here and really root for one another.
02:07 Especially in our Best New Artist category. I mean, we all know the story of Jelly Roll.
02:11 We all know Ice Spice and Noah Khan and Gracie Abrams, Victoria Monet, Coco Jones, Fred again.
02:20 And now everyone will know Warren Treating.
02:23 This is a big category. What were you guys doing when you found out that you were nominated?
02:29 We were in the airport having breakfast.
02:31 Airport eating.
02:33 Golly.
02:35 That's what we love to do.
02:38 And then I imagine a lot of screaming, maybe some jumping up and down.
02:40 Crying. I thought someone died because Michael was crying so hard. I'm like, "Who died?
02:44 Tell me who died?" He's like, "No one died."
02:47 It just felt wonderful for that to happen.
