00:07 You know, last year in in preseason, I think week one of
00:11 training camp, which you have a quarterback that we're paying, I
00:16 think $20 million to you have a guy that you drafted with
00:20 investing three first round picks into. And he grabs me
00:24 after practice, like, Hey, man, we, we got to talk. And that's
00:28 generally not a good thing when your coach tells you to talk.
00:30 Like, all right, what's up? And he's like, I think our third
00:35 string quarterback is our best quarterback. Like, okay, I'm
00:39 like, what does that mean? He's like, well, he's like,
00:41 obviously, like, we've invested in Trey, like Trey's doing a
00:43 good job, like, we're gonna do everything that we can, we're
00:45 not going to change that. And we're not going to change the
00:47 chart, the depth chart, but like, I think Brock will end up
00:51 being our quarterback at some point. And like, he didn't force
00:54 it. Right? You had two injuries. And that's how Brock ended up
00:57 playing. But he's, he's always honest, even if it's not like,
01:02 one thing that owners don't love to hear when they've invested
01:06 money, and or draft picks or both into people that the last
01:12 pick in the draft is the guy that we think is the best.
01:14 That's, that's generally not great news. But but he's honest.
01:20 And he let it play out the right way. You know, Brock, I think,
01:25 ironically, I think his first game was against the Chiefs. And
01:29 he had some mop up time. And Brock, I think he threw one ball
01:34 into the stands. And, you know, I may or may not have had some
01:39 sarcastic comments for for Kyle postgame. But when Brock took
01:44 over last year, like, I think we had a calm about us. But there
01:48 was a sense that like, nothing catches you by surprise. And
01:52 again, like you, you might not love everything that Kyle tells
01:55 you. But he's always open and honest, especially in the
01:58 moment. And he's very clear about that with me. It's like,
02:01 look, I will tell you exactly what I think of a player a
02:04 situation a coach in the moment. But that might not be how I feel
02:10 three weeks from now. So don't hold me to this is what I said
02:14 about somebody in training camp when we're in week six of the
02:17 season, like ask me in the moment, what what you want to
02:20 ask about whoever, and I'll give you my open and honest opinion.
02:24 And again, you might not always love what he says. But I've been
02:28 around enough people in this league to know that you don't
02:31 always get a straight comment from from people in those
02:35 positions and Kyle will always shoot straight.
