00:03 So I'm actually gonna go back up
00:05 before the LEAP procedure,
00:06 'cause really the scariest part
00:09 is hearing you have an abnormal pap.
00:12 That's really scary.
00:14 So my process was I learned I had an abnormal pap.
00:19 They gave me three months.
00:21 I did a lot of natural healing stuff.
00:25 Guess what?
00:26 I still had an abnormal pap.
00:29 I think it's also really important to talk about
00:31 before we even move on to the medical nitty gritty of it all,
00:35 don't blame yourself.
00:37 You know, that to me is the biggest, hardest part
00:41 of the whole procedure and experience for me
00:45 was what did I do wrong?
00:47 Why can't I heal myself?
00:50 Like what, oh my God, I gave myself cancer.
00:53 That all won't serve you.
00:56 So I had another abnormal pap.
00:59 That means that I had some pre-cancerous cells
01:02 on my cervix.
01:04 A LEAP procedure is a procedure
01:06 where they basically cauterize those cells
01:11 and get rid of them,
01:12 which is fantastic that they can do that.
01:14 You are awake during the procedure.
01:17 They do local anesthetic.
01:19 Now I could lie to you right now,
01:22 but I'm not that kind of girl.
01:24 The injection for the local anesthetic
01:26 was one of the most painful experiences of my entire life.
01:30 For me, more painful than childbirth,
01:32 and I gave birth naturally.
01:34 Because when you're giving birth,
01:37 you know what's happening
01:38 and you're doing it for this like deep purpose.
01:42 In this case, even though it was only 10 seconds of pain,
01:46 it was surprising pain.
01:50 After that, you shouldn't have any pain.
01:53 In my case, there's still a little bit of pain,
01:56 but it wasn't as bad as that first
01:59 and very short, very, very, very short,
02:02 but very painful injection.
