Transcript
00:00 Hello, my name's Greg White, I'm the Deputy Business Editor of the Yorkshire Post.
00:05 You join me here at the River Wharf in Ilkley where, as you can see, after two major storms in the space of 48 hours, the river is extremely high.
00:15 You can see the fast flowing river wharf here in Ilkley, in the heart of West Yorkshire.
00:22 There's some flooding as you can see in the fields around me but it's still extremely wild and windy out here. I'm not going to go too close to the river because it's very high at the moment.
00:33 But this footage here gives you an insight into how the rain, the heavy rain and the winds over the last 48 hours have really affected the river here, the River Wharf in the middle of Ilkley.
00:45 One of the most famous tourist attractions on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, you can see here, there's been really heavy rain which has clearly affected the water levels here in the River Wharf, one of the best known rivers in Yorkshire.
01:01 And a sign that the storm, which is still continuing, still quite windy around me, is having an impact on water levels.
01:10 [wind blowing]
