00:09 Let's play a guessing game.
00:11 What is GM's most popular vehicle that isn't a truck?
00:15 Are you surprised to hear it's the Chevy Equinox?
00:17 Because it is, and it's time for an all new model.
00:20 Meet the next gen 2025 Chevy Equinox, here to print lots and lots of money for GM.
00:26 Because after all, it'll compete with the highly lucrative Toyota RAV4
00:29 and Honda CRV.
00:30 The first thing to note is how much meaner the Equinox looks now.
00:35 Its lines are way more truck-like than before, and it sort of looks like the new Chevy Traverse.
00:39 Things are wider, taller, and more lifted.
00:42 Squared wheel wells.
00:43 You know what?
00:44 I dig.
00:44 Nice job, Chevy.
00:45 The aluminum wheel choices range from the standard 17-inch wheel to the optional 20-inch
00:51 wheels on the RS trim.
00:53 There are also unique front fascia designs for each of the SUV's trim levels.
00:57 That little infotainment screen from the outgoing Equinox?
01:00 Gone.
01:01 In its place is a bigger 11.3-inch screen, along with an all-new 11-inch driver information
01:07 cluster that's configurable.
01:09 And bringing the new Equinox firmly into this decade is a standard suite of safety and assistance
01:14 features like enhanced automatic emergency braking and side bicyclist alert.
01:19 The outgoing Equinox had four trim levels to choose from.
01:22 Now, though, there are only three, as the LS and Premier were dropped.
01:26 The available trims, though, are the RS, LT, and the first-ever Active.
01:31 Yep, we're rounding off the list of new stuff with a brand-new trim.
01:35 Like its name suggests, the Equinox Active is the one for people who want something a
01:39 little more rugged-presenting.
01:41 There's a unique front-end design and an optional white roof for a classy two-tone look.
01:47 Inside, the Active can be optioned with a maple sugar and black color scheme, with the
01:52 seats finished in microfiber.
01:54 Under the hood is where we don't really see much of an update.
01:58 The 1.5-liter turbo engine sticks around, but is now paired with a CVT and front-drive
02:03 configurations, or an 8-speed auto with the optional all-wheel drive.
02:07 Horsepower remains unchanged at 175.
02:11 It's a little disappointing to see Chevy didn't take this opportunity to offer the
02:15 new Equinox with hybrid or plug-in options like the CR-V and RAV4 have.
02:20 But, in all likelihood, it's probably because Chevy wants the upcoming Equinox EV to entice
02:27 as many buyers as possible.
02:29 Still, meet your new 2025 Chevy Equinox.
02:32 It'll go into production soon and hit dealerships mid-year this year.
02:36 Now all that's left to do is drive it.
