00:00 Brighton 0, Wolves 0 here at the Amex Stadium. The points are shared in the Premier League.
00:06 A better point probably for Wolves on the road on paper, but maybe a slight frustration
00:10 they didn't go on to win the game as they probably had the better of the opportunities,
00:13 especially in the second half. Brighton dominated possession, that can't be denied, but Mateus
00:18 Cunha and Pedro Neto were a real threat on the counter-attack. On another day they had
00:23 a goal each and the points would have all gone to Wolverhampton, but as it was the points
00:28 were shared, Wolves defending very well to stop Brighton from really creating too many
00:31 opportunities at all in the second half. For Juanbo Buonanotte should have opened the scoring
00:36 for the Hosto early on. It was the far post, nodded on from a corner from Danny Welbeck
00:41 and Buonanotte in so much space at the far post. All he had to do was just strike it
00:45 on his right boot, but he decided to try and head it awkwardly towards the floor and Tommy
00:49 Doyle was there to clear away and keep it at 0-0. In the second half Wolves worked a
00:54 lot better in attack, especially on the counter, and they had some brilliant opportunities.
00:59 Mateus Cunha getting very involved, getting quite feisty at times as well with both teams
01:04 getting a bit of a frenzy near the touchline. Towards the end of the first half I believe
01:07 it was as well, there was a yellow card for Neil Cutler, the goalkeeping coach for Wolves,
01:14 and Gero O'Neill and Roberto Di Zerbi as well getting a bit of a touchline tussle, but it
01:19 was broken up. That kind of describes the game really. It was quite tense here, it was
01:26 quite scrappy in midfield, the odd opportunity on the counter attack, especially for Wolves
01:30 as I said. But in the end I think the points being shared were probably the fair result.
01:34 It's just a shame there were no goals, I think on another day it would have been 1-1 or 2-2.
01:38 As it was, 0-0, a very good point for Wolves. Brighton move above Man United into seventh
01:43 in the Premier League and the unbeaten run for Wolves is now six games, a really good
01:48 of staff for 2024.
