00:00 It's seven weeks since we started this petition, you know we've had 74,000 members of the public
00:08 sign it, farmers, food and farming commission, lots of campaigners in the area, we've even
00:14 had the House of Lords Select Committee on Horticulture call for more or less the same
00:19 thing, yet we're getting this just just complete silence from supermarkets and complete silence
00:25 from our government, who of course seem perfectly happy to let things go on the way they are,
00:30 food is cheap, you know our countryside is being desecrated because that's the only way
00:35 you can produce food at that price, farmers have to be paid fairly and we have to get
00:41 on with it quickly because as I say half of them in my sector, fruit and veg, think that
00:46 they'll be out of business next year. I urge everyone to get online, sign that petition,
00:51 get fair about farming, let's get to the 100,000 signatories when the government is then actually
00:58 legally obliged to debate this in public and perhaps we'll see a change.
