00:00 Hi, my name is Ishma Khan and I volunteer currently in the house at East Riddlesden
00:11 Hall. I work in different parts of the house and I guide visitors through and just talk
00:19 about the history of the house and all the people that were in it and how it changed
00:26 over time and over history. So I've been doing the volunteering role for just under one and
00:32 a half years and I enjoy doing it because it's my little bit of therapy and I enjoy
00:37 talking to visitors and guiding them through the hall and talking about the history of
00:42 it. Every time I visit I learn something new and there's an absolute awesome bank of people
00:50 that I can draw on. Other volunteers that have been here for quite a while, 20 to 30
00:56 years, and they still keep coming and they enjoy it so much and we all just kind of rub
01:01 off each other and good vibes all round really and we're one big happy family. Definitely
01:07 go for it because you gain so much from it. You never lose out, it's just a winning situation
01:13 and you come away feeling so good about yourself.
