Lava from Icelandic eruption reaches Grindavik town

Lava from an Icelandic volcano covered homes in Grindavik after erupting on Jan. 14, 2024 but the volcanic activity has now calmed down, according to authorities. The eruption near Reykjavik involved two fissures, causing lava to flow into neighborhoods.
